And then we find out it's about them getting married. Lol Haley literally tells Lucas after that they got married last night. This was super poorly written. But I'm glad you can see it so "clearly" hahahaha

2023-07-05 08:54:10 +0000 UTCI think it’s a budget thing. Introducing new characters costs a lot of money, so they only introduced Haley‘s parents when they had to. Plus, they didn’t want the focus on the parents and more on the kids so introducing more adults means they need more screentime which the kids then wouldn’t get.

2023-07-05 08:52:50 +0000 UTCThe whole thing with getting the parents permission clearly happened before the game, then they went to the game, then Nathan went to say goodbye to Lucas while Haley was changing into her wedding dress and then they both went to the beach to get married. I think it makes sense.

Lucas came back for Nathan and his mom and to be there for them and then for Dan - bc as a kid I guess you always have that naive hope that your parent has to love you somehow. Keith mostly joined Lucas and he was worried about Deb and the others dealing with Dan, plus his guilt for sleeping with Deb is strong. Would I uproot my life for a person like Dan? Probably not. But it’s more complicated than just that once you’re in that situation.

I don't want him to die, but I wouldn't be that sad if he did (I mean, I would be a little sad because someone's dead, but it's also Dan, so...). I forgot how cool Haley's parents were and I'm wondering why the showrunners didn't introduce us to them in the first season. I mean, it's not like they didn't have ample opportunity in the 20+ episodes of the first season, ya know what I mean? Deb lashing out at Haley is not cool. Stop Debbin' around Deb!

2023-07-04 23:39:25 +0000 UTCOk, I was watching this season back when Netflix was just a mail order dvd rental company and I had to order 2 discs of OTH season 2 at a time and then mail them back and request them mailing me the next two discs 😂I didn’t get the channel it was on so I had to wait a full year in between seasons because I had to wait til the dvd box set came out each year and would buy them at the midnight release and binge every Episode with my mom in a few days lol! So this is so much nostalgia for me! ❤️😂
