She's broken. And entirely devastated. She lost herself in an intense intimate relationship that consumed her first year of internship, and has subsequently been entirely shut out from engaging with the thing she is most passionate about, her first love in life. Unbearable loss like that can easily make someone hostile and bitter. If dreams can't come true, if we can't have love or live out passion, then we're all just living a waking nightmare. She sees how it's negatively affecting all of her relationships and even though it's hard and she has been in denial for a long time, she is now owning it. "You think I'm broken, so fix me. Cause I'm no quitter." - that's Meredith in a nutshell.
