Although you did say something that you'll come to regret very soon... 😂 And I'm glad you're picking up on all the Torchwood hints. I love that every season has these mysteries woven through them. You're nearly half way through the season now. After the next episode there are four in a row that I don't like lol, but the finale of this season is epic and the Christmas special is brilliant. I'm so interested in how you'll feel going forward because there are some big changes coming. Not bad ones, just big ones. 🙂

2023-04-14 23:46:02 +0000 UTCThe first time I saw this, I was like 'Ok, Mickey definitely takes care of himself ;)' I've always thought episodes and movies with content like this are quite interesting. To see how things can be so similar and yet so different with just a few changes. This alternate universe is clearly technologically superior to the one our main characters are from. Rickey is a tougher, renegade-type character than Mickey even though his grandma is still alive (she's a feisty one 🤣). Rose is a little doggie in this universe 🤣🤣🤣. Just these little differences can bring levity and freshness to a show, even when it's a serious episode (for the most part). Anyways, glad you enjoyed the episode as a whole :)

2023-04-14 17:33:14 +0000 UTCIf you think these cybermen look weird, you should see the originals. They basically had ski masks and grey tracksuits haha. They've gone through several redesigns over the years, but the one thing that is consistent is the panini press (lol) on top of their heads. The cybermen are always a fun time. They are one of the "big 3" villains (alongside the Daleks) that have been recurring on and off since the very early days. Setting this story in a parallel world was a great way for the writers to give them an origin story in the context of new who.
