Like Penelope, I am having my own doubts about religion. I do believe in God, but I'm currently at odds with my Christian faith. Anyways, I enjoy watching this show with you. It's quite cute and relatable. The grandma reminds me of my own (paternal) grandma, so energetic, extra, and loving (both my grandma and the show's grandma are devout Christians, too)

Lydia and Penelope sharing how they dealt while she was in the Army was such a great moment, and I love that they each respected each other's ways of dealing. Lydia putting the picture of Serena Williams up with the one of the Pope. It's such a sweet moment of her accepting that her daughter doesn't feel the same way about God and the Pope as she does. I love the compromise they came to as they came to understand each other's POV better. I also love the fact that Schneider immediately stepped up to make the kids dinner and watch them when Lydia wasn't there. And that he, knowing that Penelope had been upset at missing out on the stories from her kids, made sure none of them talked about these things until she got home. It's played off as a joke, and it WAS funny, but it's also really sweet and shows that he cares about her and pays attention. And Lydia going to his apartment for the night was sweet too. I honestly love the relationships between all the adults in this show. I mean, I love the kids and their relationships with each other and the adults and all. But there's something really special about the relationships between Lydia, Penelope and Schneider.
