It's like Dan assesses how much of an asshole he was in the last episode and then finds a new way to top it. I was so glad to see Lucas tear the name off his jersey. Karen (Lucas' mom) is so beautiful and I love her character here. She is in my top 5 favorite parents on TV. And Jake...I just love him. Right now, he's the only decent one on that high school team. I really would love to see someone like Skills join the team so that Lucas can have both him and Jake as teammates and friends. Also, Skills would probably put a few of those entitled jerks in their place. They definitely need that type of tune up right now. Love that you're watching this show...can't wait for the next one!

2023-04-11 00:11:17 +0000 UTCYeah, Dan sucks so much! I'm gonna be honest, I completely forgot that Peyton (or is it Payton?) was so mean to Lucas in these first two episodes! I completely forgot about Jake, too, which, now that I've rewatched this episode with you, I'm starting to remember more stuff about him (don't worry, my lips are sealed ;) ). Yeah, when I first watched this show, I remember having the biggest crush on both Lucas' mom and Brooke! The only spoiler I'll give you, is that there'll be more hotties on this show ;)

And when comparing to rl, not as dramatized as we might want, as far as representing dads who refer to their offspring as anything but.
