Regarding the friend thing, if it were not for the fact that Izzie constantly (& publically) disrepects their marriage (not to mention the adulterous sex) I would say there were nothing wrong with them still being friends, but they cant be "best friends." Your best friend, the person you care for most, rely on and rurn to most, prioritize when they need you the most should absolutely be your significant other/spouse!

Since you love Addison you should really react to Private Practice alongside the next season of Grey's. Her own spinoff! There are six seasons and they aired the same time a year as season 4-9 of Grey's
