I love that this is the start of Sam and Blaine being close, their connection is one of my favourite parts of season 4. And I also enjoy Sam and Brittany together, you're right that they're sweet. Rachel and Brody I actually like together more than Rachel and Finn, that's controversial I know. But I feel that Rachel and Brody have more in common and the actor can keep up with Lea vocally a lot better. Oh and SJP being in this show was so unexpected but a great fit. She's a recurring character this season, so you're right with your guess about seeing her more. And there are even more amazing big guest stars coming up. This season is iconic. π

Yeah, Glee's gonna have some big names come on as guest stars in the second half of the show. I honestly don't remember how big a part Sarah Jessica Parker has in this (I know, you're shocked that I can't remember π€£). I remember you thinking that Sebastien Stan wouldn't come back in Once Upon a Time after his initial appearance because of my terrible TV memory, and you've seen him come back multiple times now π€£. Since I've only seen Glee once through, this watch-through still feels like the first time π€£

2023-04-02 16:38:58 +0000 UTCThere were so many people who wanted to guest star on glee during its heyday and graduating more than half the original cast was such a huge change that the introduction of these guest stars kept a lot of people interested in tuning in. I love Sarah Jessica Parker (SJP) and love that Kurt is really finding his stride, especially since he moved out there to do just that since he is in a holding pattern while waiting for NYADA. I mean, he has always had an eye for fashion not just for himself, but for others (I'm thinking about the prom dress fashion show scene from season 2 when he critiqued the girls' outfits that year). This is a natural fit for him and one of the few times they actually were consistent with storylines on Glee, lol. Love the contrast of having a guest star like Kate Hudson to challenge Rachel and SJP to nurture Kurt. Such a big change for Blaine since he was the one who encouraged Kurt to go to NYC just 2 episodes ago. I'm glad he has the student council presidency to focus on at least, but he really should address his co-dependency issues. Of course Finn comes back just as Rachel starts moving on. Love triangles are Glee's bread and butter for drama. Dean actually seems to keep up with Lea better vocally, while Cory had to work hard to get to her level.
