I just caught up with this reaction. You got me a little misty-eyed, Trav. I agree it had some awesome, fun moments. Ryan Reynolds is at his best with this kind of dialogue; very reminiscent of the two "Dead Pool" films. Maybe consider those down the line if you haven't seen them.

highly recommend coming to Canada sometime. i've been to most provinces, and they are all beautiful. but, i recommend Alberta or BC for the amazing mountains! :)

The scenery was indeed beautiful. I will need to make a trip there at some point. In Canada, I've only been to the Canadian side of the Niagara Falls and Quebec

Pretty good movie! It could've had more emotional development and stakes. Hilarious movie, though with very good action. I'm kind-of 50-50 on time travel movies and such. I think the time travel aspect was ok as I've seen it done better (Edge of Tomorrow is a good example of this; if you haven't seen it, you should totally react to it), but I've also seen it done worse. This movie also did a lot of telling and not enough showing (although, what they showed was done well), which is also a problem I have with MCU movies overall (still love the MCU, though). Had a big problem with the villain. She just never felt like a threat to me. Yeah, she was a bad, evil person, but I just didn't feel threatened at all by her. Still, quite an enjoyable movie that I would rate a 6.5/10 (I'm a hard grader so this is actually a good score from me). I can totally see why you gave it an 8.5/10, though Travis, especially with how much you personally related to the story. I've lost people, but no one as close to me as my dad. Honestly, as great as the humor and action were in this movie, my favorite scene was future Adam talking to his mom in the bar in 2022. I kind of wish they had more scenes like that in the movie. I also really liked the scene at the end where the dad goes to fetch the mis-thrown ball and comes back to see the glove on the ground. As far as a Netflix movie, this was very good. Most Netflix original movies I've seen haven't been very good (their original series, especially earlier ones, have been better in my opinion), so this was a refreshing watch for me!
