Gowler is informed of the Null Daemon running loose in their facility. Unimpressed by these events, he releases a set of drones we haven't seen before. Loammi is asked if she can take back the monster released from her mind, but she admits keeping it locked in her mind takes a severe toll on her psyche and refuses. Loammi then points to where they need to go next.

Rak borrows Lyre's data storage wristband and orders the Boscis to secure the only other area in the facility with power on. With Loammi by his side, Rak begins to download key information from the Canter computer terminal.

Loammi, being able to detect the thoughts of others, indicated to Rak where the last individual they need to rescue is being held. He quickly obliges, but is interrupted by the Null Daemon.

It seems like Rak and Loammi are done for, but the mysterious drones emerge! It seems Gowler discovered a way to freeze the creature in its tracks by recreating specific imagery using holograms. In this case it is the odd guardian statues Rak saw on Strix 13.

The damage to the area is done, however, and a chain reaction of explosions erupt. Fortunately for them it was Luger's stored mind Loammi was guiding Rak to upload into a fresh new body.
