September 2021 character poll discussion and Convention Report

Update on this month's content:  It's still in the works.  I have a bunch of backgrounds to do for the pieces so I'll try and get those cranked out.  I still have to sketch up the N4 versions of Kasumi and Chel.  

Honestly I've been too wrapped up in work and doing other things to have really thought about it, but since it is my birthday month, I'm thinking of giving the poll a break and doing characters who I would like.  Of course there would be a spread of the various N levels.  If there are Power Patron rewards to fill, those will be done as well.  

But I would like to know what you patrons feel about this or if you have some ideas of who you'd like to see for the month of September.

This past weekend I was at Planet Comicon in Kansas City.  It was the first show I've done in over a year and a half.  I had 10 new prints for the show and a number of old sketchcovers and original art.  I sold a bunch of the new prints and sold out of some of the old ones as well, which surprised me.  I also sold a couple sketchcovers and an original art piece, so that was nice.

I took some commissions as well and will post them for the group to see.  If some of you follow me on social media you may have seen some.  I also did art and signed books for The Hero Initative and got them some donations.  I did splurge and bought myself some loose anime figures from the Monogatari series and have decided that I will take these gals to the shows with me to help show off the art.

The attendees were all masked up except for a couple that came up to the table and everyone was chill.  I have yet to get a Covid test and just feel a little tired, but that's not uncommon for post show cool down.  I tried making an appointment at one pharmacy but they haven't called me back yet.  May try a different one.  I just want to be sure because I have another event to go to on Friday that I rather not be a spreader...

It was great seeing a lot of people come out to the show and my brother Phil and I did the mascots for last years show which carried over to this year, so to see your art on a bunch of merch was fun too.  There seemed to be a pretty heavy anime fan presence at the show but still plenty of comic fans to come over to me.  Planet Comicon has always been a great so so if you're in the area, I recommend it.
