What's the situation with The Final Dragon?
Added 2018-03-15 23:46:18 +0000 UTCThis version of The Final Dragon was conceived as a fun experiment where I map out the story to a precise page count, commission a great fantasy illustrator and concentrate more on the writing. What happened is Kevin was hit hard by RL turmoil. I mean real demoralizing stuff. He still wants to commit to illustrating, but realistically we can't have a webcomic update with several weeks inbetween comics...
That's why I'll be illustrating The Final Dragon, and allowing some liberties that I could not afford due to the strict page count of the original version (meaning what I create won't be identical to what you've seen setup so far).
But what do I do with the pages I already have and will continue to receive from Kevin?
I got to thinking what if we made this story, but not call it Accursed Dragon: The Final Dragon anymore. What if we made this an alternate universe and go off the rails with a self contained story in fun, unexpected directions?
It would be a Patreon exclusive until completed, then I'd put it all online somewhere. Do you guys think that's an idea you might be interested in seeing? Lemme' know if you have any opinions.
In the meantime I'll start work on the version of The Final Dragon I'll be drawing. More on that when things get rolling. :x
