Mine Mine no Mi 0.10.x #38

To start notice the 0.10.x in title, not a typo, just that from now on I'm going to post updates about future updates which I'm not yet sure which version they'll have, could be 0.10.1 or 0.10.2 depending on how many bugs there will be and how many patches are required.

As part of this future patch, the broader "theme" is going to be the world and the factions in it as opposed to bosses and overall npc improvements. I've already showcased Sabaody biomes some time ago, but now its been heavily improved from a backrooms like biome with nothing in it to a lush swamp like biome, better known as a mangrove just...giant mangroves...A lot more water is also now present instead of mostly flat solid ground.

Whats more this biome has an unique mechanic in the form of a vehicle called Bon Chari, already talked about this too but it got some improvements since last time such as not instantly breaking when going out of the biome, more animations and particles and spawns, all traders and structures spawning inside this biome will have a chance to spawn with Bon Charis as part of their loot.

(You can see some of that sweet thunder plains biome too at the end)

Another new biome that's also finished is the drum biome, its an always frozen always snowy biome incredibly hostile with not much life in it and very few trees, its almost entirely frozen mountains (min height of this biome is y 100, max is at about 200). There's a lot more White Walkies around these parts however so you might have an easier time finding one, there's also more Lapahns than normal.

Overall an extremely dangerous biome you probably don't wanna make a base in.

Yes, any mod that adds new biomes and registers them as such will work with islands.

Hopefully no, it still requires testing and tweaking and its not as complete as drum or sabaody, but I'm hoping no, the bolts only happen when there's a player in the biome (so even if you're near it like I was in the video, if you're not IN the biome it won't load the logic for the bolts to spawn), they're also delayed for a few seconds so they're not exactly non stop, its pretty much like a regular vanilla thunderstorm just with up to 10 bolts instead of 1-2. As of right now at the very least it doesn't seem to affect performance in any noticeable way, there is however a small caveat to this...those thunders are not just visual they're real, they set things on fire, for the biome itself its fine since its a plains biome, however just like in my gif, if it so happens that those bolts hit a nearby forest of giant flammable trees...well....lots of fire could potentially result in lag.
