Preview of the next Accursed Dragon

Upon getting the orb of magicka piece, Deacon is able to use his foreknowledge to impress the Corvus leaders to make him Lord of War (a title he retains for over a 100 years). With the abilities to be an influential member of the Corvus and Parliament armies at the same time, he guides the direction of the war in his favor.
Deacon also mentions key allies he created/enlisted to help cement his hold on the empire. Most of those figures should seem familiar, except one. That one gentleman is Lalancette Danton's father, who we see in the next story.
Finally Deacon also mentions how Chatel came about because of her investigation into Castle Morden. As an inquisitor it's her job to discover who was helping the Corvus army infiltrate the Southern Province. Unfortunately for her she suspected Deacon...and thus she was eliminated before this story began and was turned into a puppet.
