Chapter 10 of Stumbling on Something Good, in which Sirius, Tonks, and Harry get the living hell scared out of them, only to learn that all is not quite as it seems. One trip home later, they're forced to have a very awkward conversation with Dumbledore, leading to a long overdue burial and something none of them expected.

Assuming the classic reason for a spirit remaining among the living – a task or desire that has to be resolved – I would expect her passing on knowledge of her lycanthropy cure is why she’s hanging around. Not complaining mind: she deserves a bit of time before moving on without unceasing torment. Harry is still hoping someone will come along and replace Snape at Hogwarts. I think he should resign himself to excessive disappointment on that count. Better he should focus on learning everything he can under the current restrictions because obstacles always try to prevent people from learning things. Also, Elfwynn has no great knowledge of centuries of changes in the creation of potions, which would severely hamper her ability to teach others. Plus, given Harry's luck, Delores Umbridge would be made Snape's replacement (Pause to get the shudders out of your system.) Dumbledore knows of the crypt and might yet learn something useful there. Voldi-bum does Not know about the crypt which I think a good thing on principle. In all I can only say, 'happy holidays,' ‘thank you’ and ‘may we have more please?’
