Covid struggle

I didn't want to bring it up at first but i blelieve i owe you an explenation.
TLDR: My mom barely survived covid this month and its not the worst part.
Many of you may not know but i was a war refugee back in 2014, and since then shit keep hitting the fan.
I managed to flee a town completely cut off from any source of water and other necessities, though, even before the war, med suplies\access in town was pretty low, now you can only buy some syrups and common antibiotics.
Majority of the young people moved out from the town throughout the years, making town's main demographic elderly and middle aged.
So what we've got here? A half dead town, cut off from med suplies, 2-3 barely functional hospitals with soviet era equipment, lack of water\poor sanitation, bunch of old people, lack of communication means (no mobile data), and now, a pandemic.
I'm sorry for bringing it, but, a lot of people died ot there, again.
My mom managed to beat covid while at home, thankfully, she had mild symptomes but still damaging enough. She sustained permanent lung damage due to lack of propper treatment.
I tried to convince my parrents to move out elsewhere, but my attempts were politely turned down( Saying its their homeland, and they would rather meet their fate at home rather than running away.
My mom owns an ateiler which she literally works for free because everybody is beyond poor at this point (everybody wealthy enough fled long ago).
I give them around 2500$ for christmass so they can afford buying imported, overpriced goods and fix their car.
I'm rambling at this point..
Anyway i was pretty crushed by this whole situation, not the worst outcome but, man, the universe sure wants to wipe out all whats left of my childhood away really fast.

All you can do is support your parents as best you can while respecting their wishes to remain in their home, and we will do our best to support you, even if it isn't quite the same thing. Perhaps eventually you might be able to convince them, so have heart. All it takes is some gentle consistent attempts sometimes to make others come around. I wish you and your parents the best! As well as the rest of your family and friends as well!

I can only imagine what its like going through the horrors of war and the inconveniences that come with it. Worse still the pandemic is ruining everything... I'm really sorry to hear that.
