The thing with The Band is, you have 3 incredible singers and Richard Manuel, who both Levon and Rick thought, was their main vocalist (at least at first) isn't singing there. So there are a few tracks that are great - Danko in 'It makes no difference', Manuel on 'King Harvest', Levon on "The Weight' and while Robbie may not have been the greatest singer - him on 'Somewhere down the crazy river' as kind of a narrator is impressive too

I've loved The Weight ever since it was released (you should check out the Playing for Change version, if you haven't seen or heard it), and performance-wise and in terms of tongue-in-cheek storytelling, I think Paradise by the Dashboard Light, and this video in particular, is one of Meatloaf's best; I've discovered I like symphonic metal, so Mother Earth was really interesting; and I really, really don't like harsh vocals. BUT... Hellscore's arrangement was really cool. The harmonies and beatboxing are something else. If interesting vocal technique is what this channel's all about, then that's the one I'd like to hear Elizabeth analyze. So as much as I don't like harsh vocals, that's the one that got my vote.
