How old is this? I got a glitch on payments had to reset password. But to do White Zombie, oh my. All I could think of when first hearing them was "how many cool overdubs can you fit into a mix." At the time it was like rock meets metal and some house music with techno lol. But cool to mix it up.

Has to be MCR

Joshua Morris

Rob Zombie hardest of the group.

"AVENGED SEVENFOLD" "BURIED ALIVE" & "NIGHTMARE"

JASON SUMRALL

Burn through the witches Rob!

I agree with you, Doug El, that Alice Cooper is a rock legend. I look forward to Elizabeth reacting to him one day. In this case, I narrowed the choices down to Warren Zevon and Alice Cooper. I gave the nod to Warren Zevon because I enjoyed "Werewolves of London" most as I was listening to all of the songs.

I'm sure RZ "Dragula" is going to win, but even still, Charismaniacs, Alice deserves more love that he's getting. Even if he's not your style, he's still a rock legend and Halloween would be the perfect time for E to get her first taste.

Doug El

Rob Zombie and MCR. I love both of those songs.

My name is Norman and I'm a baby-boomer. There, now that I've gotten the 12-step confessional stuff out of the way I can freely admit I voted for Alice Cooper and Warren Zevon out of pure nostalgia. TCV needs a cameo appearance by Statler and Waldorf, even if it's not this particular video. All of the choices this month were good ones, though. Trivia side note: on the studio version of "Werewolves of London," which I think is what we hear in this video, the bassist and drummer were John McVie and Mick Fleetwood.

Welcome to the Black Parade is one of, if not the, most recognizable pop-punk emo songs of the 00's. So whether it makes the Halloween edition or not, I hope Elizabeth dives into MCR and other canon emo bands soon. Much like grunge vocals, singers didn't always concern themselves with producing mellifluous vocal tones or melodies; on pitch, off pitch, voice cracks, bends and slides – the un-beautiful sounds were a way to express the un-beautiful mess of emotion, turmoil, desperation, and angst that we millennial teens related to so much.

Warren's live rendition of Werewolves Of London is so good. IMHO far surpasses the studio version, with his tinkering around with tempos and lyrical shifting, and then we get some audience participation on top.

As much as I’d love Rob Zombie, we’ve heard plenty on that style. MCR would be awesome for a deep dive.

Ben Gallegos

Thanks for that. I really wanted E to get exposed to Danny on something non-Nightmare Before Christmas.

Wolfman

I'm sad that Dead Man's Party didn't make the list but Dragula was also a great choice!

Mike Grattan

I like Zevon's song the best, simply because it's such a fun one to sing along with. A-Oooh!

Andrew Warwick

What do we gotta do to get some Roky Erickson in here?

Rob Zombie is an obvious choice given the theme, but I don't think his vocals are worthy of a reaction. He sounds the same on almost every song. The same could be said about Bon Scott, but AC/DC made much better music than Zombie and his voice was an instrument instead of a drone.
