No more raffles
Added 2017-03-09 12:23:23 +0000 UTCDue to a recent policy that was brought to my attention by some edgy mean dude. I've since decided to no longer offer the art raffle as a reward tier for Patreon (due to raffles apparently being classified as a form of gambling, which you all can read about here ---> ( https://patreon.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/204199489-Can-I-offer-a-raffle-for-one-of-my-rewards-)).

Further some tips as found online: - Ensure the rules are stated somewhere clearly - Notify winners privately not publically to avoid scrutiny And as a concerned "patron" I just want to state that I cannot give legal advice online and that this is simply what I've read and have researched, but it's up to you to research and learn from others who are finding ways to do similiar stuff and it still be OK!

2017-03-09 16:25:45 +0000 UTCThe legal requirement (and many patreon pages have experienced this so don't worry) is that there is a "no purchase necessary" clause. This means people have to have the capacity to jump in for FREE somehow. What Jeremy Bernal does is allow people to jump onto a "wheel" which he spins for a chance to win during his streams. However if you're in a certain tier of Patreon, you get multiple votes on the wheel that stay indefinitely. (Sometimes he clears out the wheel.) So, the free component is just being on his stream when he is doing the sketches and when he opens them.

2017-03-09 12:47:46 +0000 UTCNote that it's only associated with reward tiers. Other folks will do raffles with all of their followers. So you can still do something like sketches if you want! It just has to be unassociated with reward tiers.
