Great question! There's no way to no for sure, but so far, it seems as though Zygrul's skills are trumping Asher's. Now, if that's because they're in the third-tier compared to Asher's second-tier, or for some other reason, that remains to be seen!

2026-02-26 17:30:40 +0000 UTCZygrul is all logic, no emotion, so if we make a bit of a leap that the other liches are more like Love Lich and still have their emotions then that gives me two branching guesses as to his sudden yet inevitable betrayal of the Council. Either the Council majority have some master catastrophic plan that they are doubled down on due to emotion instead of going off the true odds/logic and so Zygrul wants to stop them to preserve his own unlife and accumulated power, OR Zygrul is the one with the catastrophic master plan that rejects any emotional/non-logical approaches that would deem it insanity, and so wants to eliminate the Council before they can stop his master plan.
