We've all seen the mouse-mom, but what about mom-mom?
I wanted to draw a more generic mother character that could be used every now and then for some scenarios or drawings. I decided to make her the mother of that girl-scout character I drew like, three times, since otherwise that character isn't all that useful. I enjoy having characters set in pairs so they have someone to bounce off of.
So, here's Laura Baker, mother of Becca Baker.
The idea with her is that she's something of a helicopter parent, but in being so, she often winds up in trouble. Maybe in her efforts to snoop around she ends up in peril, or is so overbearing that Becca doesn't bother to save her when she's in trouble, optioning to use the opportunity to go hang with friends or engage in activities her mom would otherwise prohibit.
Either way, I still don't think I'd draw them that much, but now they at least can be used as a pair.
