Wizard Prison Part 6 [41x55]

It's 10 months since we released the last Wizard Prison map. We struggled a lot with this one, we wanted it to still feel like a useable battlemap but also wanted to vividly depict the key breathing dragon. In the part 4, we saw the strange Angel of Atrophy. In part 5 we entered its mouth, with its maze-like tongue. For this part we want to delve down its throat and deep into its stomach. And this is what it contains.

Cze's concept for the wizard prison as a whole was monsters and phenomenon that are recursive and regressive. Like a dream within a dream, an infinity mirror, or a cascade of monsters eating one another. What the true reality is, is obscured, in this way magic is flattened and infintesimal. That feels like a true prison for a powerful wizard.

The next map in this series will be within the chest (within the chest) within the Key Dragon you see in this map. That dragon has been swallowed by an angel that is itself is trapped within doors of the infinite cube, and that cube is trapped at bottom of the bone stair, which is within a portal on the edge of the abyss. Each map is meant to feel like delving into a deeper plane of the world and has its own scale and dangers.

For this map we think you could roleplay fighting the dragon, avoid its key barrage, and finding the right key to shrink down and use to unlock the chest within its chest.

Our current plan is to finish on part 10. Then we'll be wrapped up with series. Hope you enjoy this strange and dark series!
