Precarious Waterfall Crossing [22x17]

This is another attempt at a smaller map with a simpler theme. Trying to focus on making something tactical without getting carried away with being epic. So here is a humble river crossing, with some waterfall rapids and a stone bridge. We've left space for archers or rangers to fire from the sidelines. Maybe you could have waterbased monsters popping up from the river itself as an ambush!

2024-06-26 07:30:45 +0000 UTCI do appreciate the occasional emphasis on the tactical aspects of a map. After all I still call a lot of my maps "battle maps" even on ones involving no battle. The use of varied terrain, high and low ground, environmental hazards etc can really turn a typical scrum into a memorable encounter encouraging creativity. Lots of toys to play with on this one! 2024-06-26 04:07:05 +0000 UTCI know a lot of us have been hyping up these simpler/easy to fit in maps, and this is another beauty that I can't wait to use! As a suggestion that you can maybe do a poll on to check the thoughts from the other patrons, I would absolutely KILL for a handful of good maps to use as small bases and hangouts for players and other factions. For example, a landscape oriented map of a simple and pretty druids grove or campsite with some tokens and assets included so that we could have a campsite that changes slightly over time as campaigns progress. Thinking of stuff like BG3 where you slowly add new members, chests, collectibles etc etc.
