This is the lastest battlemap in our cosy starter village series. If you want to find all of the maps in this series we've added a section in the Ancient Map Room which lists them all.
As usual the idea is to create buildings and areas that would be useful for a party of level 0 or 1 characters. And also as a homebase.
Maybe for this map you'd use it to keep and raise your steeds, or get your first horse in exchange for clearing the local woods from goblins. Perhaps the horses have all gone missing and you need to find them or maybe one of them is suddenly a unicorn one day and you have to work out what happened.

I can imagine an adventure or short arc where one uses one of the regular maps, then the massacre or flood, then the haunted version. Or run it as a detective style adventure where the party is asked to investigate the massacre of the horses and works to figure out what happened in order to put the poor spirits to rest.
