Palace Guard Chambers [40x58]

Hey everyone!

This is the final part (probably) of our Royal Palace series. Kind of hard to believe we made the first part in December 2019, which now feels like the distant past!

Here are the other parts:

Royal Throne Room

Outer Court

Inner Court

You can see below how the various sections go together.

There's a moat and bridge between the Outer and Inner Courts. Whereas the Inner Court and Guard Chambers/Royal Throne Room are directly connected.

When we made the Royal Throne Room we never intended to make the rest of the palace, so you'll have to do a bit of theatre of the mind with the stairs coming off from the edges of that map. :)

If we ever do another part of this series, it'll probably a hunting lodge or some walled gardens/hedge maze. Or maybe some secret wine cellar that leads into a dungeon or catacombs. Let us know if any of that'd interest you!

Comments

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but where can I find the VTT version?

Faisal Aljehani

Ok cool! I was gonna use this over the weekend haha. It is all good.

There will be Foundry modules of *every* map, they just take us some time to make. Once we post the map we give them to Ryan who gets to work. This was posted on a Friday night. I suspect Ryan will get to it after the weekend. :)

Is there no Foundry version of this?

Brad Koch

I'd love to see some catacombs one day!

Fen Burton

Secret Wine Cellar would be amazing!

Maggie Quick

Hi great map as always, I looked for the Fey Forest version of the other parts of the palace but they don't seem to exist?

Gaël

Agreed! Very cool for a whole palace layout, my players love these maps just to be able to understand the layout of a location. Half the time they don't even fight on these maps, but they love them all the same :)

Average D&D Enjoyer

More maps that deliberately go together/fit the same style is always useful! Love these
