A little different this time because you can vote for more than one item, but there can only be one winner! And this time there's no "Let the author pick" option, so ya'll in control. What you pick here has the power to simply add a little flavor, be a non-event, or to wildly alter the course of the story. So choose wisely.

The +10 stat potion option is there for varieties sake, with the addition that if they make it to a safe room, the level up and potion could boost her Con to 100 and narratively that could be interesting because reaching 1pp means special player ability.

Both of which she could learn to make out of metal that she's carrying. She won't have the 5m cooldown, but I doubt she'll be spamming it like that. Pregnant!? Are you kidding me? Come on everyone! Have you not considered what it means for a doppelganger to be carrying another body/flesh inside of itself!?!?! The consequences and possibilities are ridiculously entertaining. The dune buggy would be an interesting tool all around, though simple and straightforward. Another pet? As loathe as I am to the idea of having another pet around, if she has the pet carrier in her backpack, can she not meld with her pet, gaining more fleshy mass and potentially a weapon that can level up as she kills stuff with it!? Whoever voted for the +10 stat potion option should lose their ability to vote <.<

However, I promise it would be just about the opposite of everything you fear. Including--especially--your fear about her agency in the matter. It'll be used as an opportunity to add hope to the story.

2020-09-13 00:45:55 +0000 UTCMatt, I said this in Discord but I'm copying it here because I'm not sure how much you read the Discord. Please, please, please do not do the 'pregnant' option. There is no way it works out well. First, having the fans send her a pregnancy is literally rape. She is being impregnated without her consent. Second, unless it's a magic pregnancy and she swells up and then has the kid in the span of ten minutes, she's going to be sidelined for a long period of time and the other characters are going to need to bend their choices around protecting her. Lots of IRL fans have been bitching about how she's useless and a leach. She's finally starting to grow a spine, become effective, and develop agency. This would take all of that away. Third, you're talking about a baby in the middle of a live-action snuff film. That is going to be hugely traumatic for the kid. Maybe that's not shown onscreen and ends up only as fridge horror, but it's still there. Fourth, it would be a massive tone shift. The focus of the story until now has been on a band of companions and friends struggling to survive by their wits and the skin of their teeth. Introduce a baby and the story is suddenly going to be a band of companions trying to keep a kid alive. Either that or the kid gets conveniently killed, lost, or magically ages into a useful character...which defeats the purpose of having a baby when the character could have simply been introduced the normal way. Again, please, please, *please* remove the pregnancy option.
