The Jellyfish

Female Reader x Male Monster

The aquarium and rescue facility you work at is right on the beach. Every day you take your lunch and a blanket and sit on the sands. You love to watch the ocean as you eat. All too happy to get away from the cafeteria and your coworker who has to comment on every bite of food you eat.

“You think that pudding is wise?” He’ll say. “Do you really need that piece of bread?” You can feel your stomach sink when he enters the room. “You know, it’s really not a good idea to drink coffee now.”

Hence, the beach. You sit and relax. The sound of the waves and the scent they give off make you feel at peace. Recently it has been storming and you’ve been unable to go to the beach. Lunch period is hell all over again so you’ve either eaten under the awning or gone to the break room for lunch.

When the rain does stop you head out to enjoy the beach again. The storm has washed up a great deal of things. Lots of shells and sea debris. You go through the shells, finding some that shimmer in the sunlight. As you poke around the beach, taking bites from your meal, you hear a sound.

You glance up, looking out towards the water. The lapping waves cover it, but you hear it again. It sounds like someone crying. You set your things down and begin searching the shore. You kick off your shoes and wade through the water. You go around the rocks to find a small pocket between the aquarium and the rest of the beach. There you see it, something laying on the hot sands. It twitches and moves, lifting their head then laying back down. You hear them whimper again and you approach slowly.

“Are you ok?” You call out.

Then flinch and try to drag himself away but they don’t have the strength. As you get closer you see they aren’t exactly human. Their top half is humanoid enough. Their skin is ruddy but looks blanched and sickly. For the time all you can see is their back. Their bottom half looks like a wad of chewed and shriveled bubblegum.

“I’m here to help.” You kneel down before them.

They lift their head and you gasp. They have no eyes. They have purple markings and stripes. And there are what appear to be something like wet tissues hanging off the top and sides. Their mouth opens and they whimper.

“I want to help you,” you whisper comfortingly to them.

They tremble and reach for you. They manage to pull himself into your arms. You’re lucky their light, so you manage to pick them up off the hot sand. Even that seems like enough for them. They extend their arm, pointing to the water.

You nod and wade into the water, going up as far as your waist and then sink into the waves. You watch for a moment as they spread out under the surface. Their sickly brown skin turns bright and orange. The purple stripes on their face and arms begin to glow. The chewed bubblegum body fluffs and flares out like sheets in the breeze.

They raise up out of the water and smile at you. The grasp your face and as their skin touches yours there’s a slight sting. They kiss you. The sting grows and your lips go numb. You don’t pull away though. It feels good. They pull back and sink back into the water and then disappear.

You touch your numb lips, forgetting your standing waist deep in water. When you head back to work you excuse yourself to go home and change.

The next day you work you return to the beach with your lunch. You think about the Jellyfish creature and hope they are safe and ok. Just as you’re about to take a bite something bobs to the surface. They wave their hands in the air and swim closer.

“It’s you!” You run to meet them and stumble into the wet sand. They help you up and you smile. “I was worried about you. I’m glad to see you’re ok.”

They kiss you again, making your lips numb with their sting. “I was hoping you’d return.” Their voice is silky and light.

“Oh,” you gasp. “You can talk.”

They nod. “Please, I want to thank you for saving me.”

“No,” you gasp. “Please. I’m happy just knowing you’re ok. You don’t need to thank me at all.”

They pout and inch close to you again. “You saved my life. It’s the least I can do.”

You sigh. “Well…if you must do something to repay me then…” you lick your lips. “Then will you meet me on this beach?”

“Is that all?” They ask.

“I come here for lunch every day I work,” you reply. “The ocean brings me comfort but…if I was to have a friend it would be much nicer.”

They kiss you again and this time you kiss back. Perhaps it was their way of saying thank you or hello. You weren’t sure but you were enjoying the affection.

“I’ll do it. I promise.” Their tone is eager and happy.

“Thanks,” you smile. “That alone is worth a lot to me.”

They grin and sit up on the beach beside you as you eat. “Do you ever go into the water?” They ask.

You bite back a frown. You love the water but you haven’t been swimming in ages. The last time you went you had gone with a group and it didn’t go so well. You had lost some weight since then but you still felt unsure about yourself.

“Whats wrong?” They tilt their head.

“Nothing,” you swallow back your fear. “I do swim,” you answer. “It’s just a long time for me is all.”

“You could swim with me,” they beam.

“Oh uhm…not now. I have to go back to work soon.”

Their smile fades and they nod. “I see.” They turn to you again. “Would you swim with me one day then?”

You smile. “Yeah. One day I will.”

After that, they meet you every day during your lunch. They greet you with a kiss and every day they linger a little longer. You’re happy for their company. They’re kind and warm, always excited to see you. They touch a lot. They enjoy the feeling of your lips and cheeks. They like to cuddle in your lap while you eat and rest their head on your thighs.

One day when you go to lunch you start crying when you see them. The day has been hard and you got yelled at for something your coworker did. Even when the mistake was cleared up you were fussed at for the mistake and no one apologized to you at all. They hold you in their arms and you cling to them. Even if their touch stings you’ve learned to like the way it feels.

“Kiss me again,” you whimper.

“Kiss?” They ask.

You brush your fingers against his lips. His lips purse, kissing each fingertip. He eases in as you move your hand and he kisses your lips. Your tears fall down your cheeks as he does. He presses close and holds you fast. He feels soft and silky, his face squishy but firm. He kisses you like there’s no tomorrow. Your lips grow numb and you moan softly. You have to pull back first to catch your breath.

“Kiss,” he repeats. “Is that what you call it?”

You swallow. “Yes. We call that kissing.”

“It’s something else where I am from,” he replies.

“It’s a greeting, right?” You ask.

She shakes his head. “No. Actually, your kiss means devotion to us.” You feel your cheeks begin to burn as he speaks. “Every time we give our devotion it’s an affirmation.”

“Oh,” you gasp.

He lays his hands on his chest, his palms crossed. “I’ve been…kissing you to show you my devotion to you and only you.”

“Like love?” You ask.

He smiles. “That’s my devotion to you.”

“I didn’t know I-” you cup your hand around your mouth as more tears fall down your cheeks.

He inches close again, kissing your cheek and tears. “What’s wrong?” He asks.

“No one has…ever said they loved me before,” you murmur. “I’m not sure what to do or even say.”

He smiles. “You don’t have to say a word.” He kisses you again. His lips part yours and his tongue slips inside. The sting feels like an electric shock but it feels so good.

He pulls back just as you begin to melt. “You have work.”

“Oh,” you whisper. “Oh right.”

He smiles. “I’ll be here, like always.”

You touch his cheek. “Let’s swim tonight,” you whisper to him. “Can we?” You stroke your thumb across his lip.

His grin is bright and excited. “Of course!”

You lean in and kiss him again. “Tonight,” you say and stand up. “I’ll be back.” You race back up to the aquarium. You hope the rest of the day will go by quickly but it doesn’t. The day drags and won’t end. You think an hour has passed but a glance at the clock proves you painfully wrong.

Finally, when you leave for work you go to your car and take out the extra clothes. You also get the bathing suit you purchased after you had met your jellyfish. You blush as you think about swimming with him and you make your way down to the beach.

He’s they are waiting and he turns and grins when he hears you come down the beach. He takes you to the pocket beach where you first met so you can change. You’re embarrassed at first to be naked in front of him. You don’t want him to see your stretch marks on your thighs and belly. You don’t him to call you names like your coworker. Then you realize, he can’t see. You don’t need to worry. He’d love you no matter what.

You strip down and slip on the bathing suit. You wade into the water, going into his arms and you kiss him. You press your devotion to him as he does you. You moan softly as your lips and tongue go numb with his sting. His hands roam your body, touching your exposed skin. He nuzzles into your neck and hums to himself. You pet down his back, your fingertips going numb as well.

“I’m glad you’re here with me,” he whispers into your ear.

“Me too.” You kiss his cheek.

He takes your hand and pulls you along, taking you out deep into the water. When you grow tired he lets you cling to his back. He swims out far and as it grows dark his skin and tendrils begin to glow. He looks like sunlight under the water.

You come to a small island and you walk up on shore. He crawls up beside you and you admire him radiating in the dark. You stroke his cheek and down his chest.

“You’re so beautiful,” you kiss him and his hand pushes on your breast. He squeezes and kneads. His kisses become headier and more intense. Your lips tingle and you feel a shock run through your body.

He pulls back and nuzzles his head against your chest, laying with you on the sand. He cuddles on top of you, holding you close. You pet his head and smile. You look at your hand, seeing your fingertips begin to glow.

“How do humans show their love?” He asks, lifting his head.

“Well,” you start. You prop yourself up on your elbows. “It depends,” you murmur. “On the type of love you want to give.”

He thinks for a moment. “I want to give it all to you,” he replies. “I want to kiss you all over. I want to press my devotion into every inch of your skin. How do I do that.”

Your face is burning hot and you feel like a big puddle. “Oh wow,” you gasp. “To be honest. I think you just described it perfectly.”

“But what more can I do? How can I make sure you understand?” His voice is strong and insistent. You can tell he has so much to say but no words to explain himself.

You smile and give him a soft kiss. “I understand,” you whisper. “But if you want to show me so much then,” you swallow back your nerves and take his hand. “Do you take mates?”

“Yes,” he replies.

“How do you mate?” You kiss his fingertips and lick them. His breath hitches as you suck one.

“It’s nothing romantic,” he replies. “I fertilize a clutch of eggs. That’s it.”

“Humans have a different mating ritual.” You guide his hand between your thighs. Your grind your heat against his fingers. “We often have sex to show our passion.”

His fingers twitch. “Warm,” he whispers.

You move aside your swim bottoms, letting him touch you directly. His finger press against your soft mound. His touch makes you tingle, the sting is a pleasurable feeling now. You moan and his lips part. He moves his fingers, tracing you and he pushes his fingers deeper. He finds your wet entrance and swirls his finger around there.

You whimper and he pulls away. “I’m sorry!” He gasps.

You chuckle and pull his hand back. “That was a good sound. You make me feel good.” You guide his fingers, making him touch your clit and then push his fingers back inside.

“You feel good,” he pants. “So warm so…” he lowers down and presses between your thighs. You gasp as he licks you. His long tongue swirls and traces around your folds. He slurps and sucks. He moans, his fingers gripping your hips and his sting making them go numb.

You sigh, your body relaxing and trembling. His tongue pushes inside and you cry out. You touch the top of his head and watch him. Your breath hitches as his tongue presses deeper. You wonder just how long it can get. He grumbles and growls and his tongue gets thicker. You gasp and fall back into the sand. It’s big and hard now and it thrusts deep inside you. You whimper, rolling your hips to meet his kiss below. His hands go up your body, touching you and holding you.

You feel yourself being to spasm. You tremble and squeeze around him. Your inner walls tightening around his tongue. You grip his shoulders as he brings you over the edge. You wail in pleasure and his tongue continues to burrow deep inside. You feel numb and tingly all over. You look down and see your skin is glowing like his.

He raises up and his licks his chops before he kisses you. “Was that a good noise too?” He asks.

You wrap your arms around him and kiss him more. “That was the best noise.”

He grins. “Can I do it again then?”

“Mm.” You squeeze your thighs together. “Wait until I get the feeling back.”

He snuggles back on top you, nuzzling between your breasts. “You feel so nice. Every inch of you. I want to feel more.”

You kiss the top of his head. “Only you,” you whisper.
