Finding out that kisses weren’t a special event to the warden was a real kick in the pants. You thought you and Roan had shared something special. Instead he took it as a sign of welcome and being home. To him it was like a handshake to you. You wanted to pout, but you felt ridiculous doing so when Roann had no clue what was going through your head.
At least most of your silver had been returned. You could at least sell what you had and make some money for the family when you were able. Money would be tight for a while, at least until the snow cleared. You luckily had friends and neighbors who could help you in return for some labor around their homes. You were set on doing that until spring.
“You look lost in thought.”
Roann’s voice lifted you from being lost inside your own mind. You glanced towards him, seeing he was taking a brush to his hair.
“A little,” you murmured.
Roann approached and offered you his brush.
The smoothed handle was made of bone and was warm from his big hands. “Do you want me to-”
Roann instantly sat on the ground before you. “Brush it.”
“Oh-” You were a bit flummoxed. It felt extremely intimate. “Sh-sure!” You grabbed a handful of his hair. It was thick and heavy but felt so soft to the touch. As you dragged the brush through his hair you noticed Roann’s body responding. His back arch, barreling his chest and dropping his shoulders. His neck bent back and you could peer the strange expression on his face.
“You really do have beautiful hair.” You weren’t sure exactly what to say, but you felt you needed to say something. “I know if I even tried growing mine out, it would never be this nice.”
A low growl rumbled in Roann’s chest.
You swallowed your heart back down into your chest. “It must be a family trait, because Roka had lovely hair too.”
Roann sniffed in agitated way.
“So uh-” You tried to think as fast as you could. “Your stab wound, is it okay?”
“I had had worse.”
You should have known he’d say something like that, but you were still knocked off guard. “Oh yeah, I’m sure.” You bit down on your lip, trying to think again.
“It is my hands that bother me,” Roann moaned. He raised his hands, some of his fingers were wrapped and there were bandages upon his palms. “They make my usual work cumbersome.”
“I can help with anything you need!” You offered this eagerly.
Roann chuckled. “You will not have to stay here much longer. Once the storm subsides I will lead you out and to a path you know.”
You pouted. “Until then.”
Roann moaned again as the brush ran along his scalp. His lips parted, and his mouth opened wider than you usually saw. You purposefully made the same stroke again and his hand fell into his lap.
“Does this feel good?” You asked.
“I’ve never had someone brush my hair before,” he quivered.
Your cheeks warmed and a fluttering filled your chest. “Really?”
Roann nodded. “Grooming is a personal and intimate thing. When we allow someone else to do it, it is like a deer grazing in an open field. I feel vulnerable and yet-”
The kiss wasn’t special, but this was. “I don’t know what to say.” You laughed from nerves and excitement. “I’m honored!”
His smile was soft and he leaned back further to your touch. “Nothing needs to be said. Sometimes silence can say everything.”
Your heart was hammering, and the knowledge of what you were doing was making your hands shake. Roann’s moans and the response of his body grew. The more it went on, the more erotic it began to feel.
“That’s enough.” Roann reached back and grabbed your wrist. “That’s enough.” His eyes were hooded and his mouth hung open slightly.
You swallowed, taking a step back and hoping you weren’t showing under your tunic. You didn’t say anything, you couldn't think straight enough to speak anyways.
Roann remained seated, clutching the brush to his chest. He closed his eyes and breathed evenly. One hand still remained in his lap.
“Is everything okay?” You asked.
Roann exhaled and looked pained. “It won’t go down. I let you go on for too long. This is my fault.”
You knew your face had to be the color of a beet. “Is it something I can help with?”
“I- '' A look crossed Roann’s face. His strength was waning and a pitiful look of need came into his eyes. His hand in his lap clutched something. “I shouldn’t ask.”
You bit down on your lip, wanting him to ask. You gathered his hair aside, smoothing your fingers through it. You then slipped your fingers along the nape of his neck and Roann lost his breath.
“I owe you so much. If there is anything I can do, I would love to.”
A whimper grew in Roann’s throat. “This is too much. But-”
You leaned over his shoulder, tilting his head back to steal a kiss. Even if this was only a handshake to him, you wanted him to feel something.
Roann moaned through the kiss and his eyes looked glazed as you pulled back. That pitiful look of need remained and he removed his hand. The bottom of his tunic was bulging, and the seam on his thighs was strained.
You swallowed and knelt down in front of him and looked into his eyes. “May I?”
Roann nodded, his eyes becoming focused on your hand as you placed it upon his knee. Your hand moved up and under his tunic, feeling the warm, inviting bulge along his thigh. You leaned in closer, placing yourself nearly in his lap.
Roann’s massive hand grasped onto your shoulder.
“It’s okay, I’ll stop if you want, just tell me too.” You smiled at him.
“No, don’t stop,” he groaned.
You licked your lips. “Then may I open your trousers?”
He leaned back, lifting up his tunic so you could see the laces. His belly stuck out a little and soft, white fur peeked over the top. You tugged on the laces so they came undone. Roann lifted his hips, allowing you to pull his pants down to his knees. His cock bounced slightly. Too heavy to rise completely, but hard enough to stand on its own.
“Now you,” Roann growled.
You looked up at him in shock and his hand cupped around your rear. “Me? I don’t...you’re so...mine is-” You floundered with what to say, even as you were undoing the toggles of your tunic.
Roann’s tongue lapped against the side of his tusk. “It’s only fair.”
You nodded, shaking as you took off your tunic. You pushed down your pants, and while your cock sprang up into the air like a spring daisy, it wasn’t the heavy beast that Roann had.
You ran your hand down your chest. “There. Is that better?”
Roann removed his tunic as well and both of you were laid bare. “Much better. I’m happy to see you’re just as aroused as I am.”
“Maybe more,” you said through nerves. You gulped and inched in again, taking hold of Roann’s cock in both hands.
“I doubt that. I’ve been growing since you started brushing my hair.” Roann cupped the back of your head, slowly dragging his palm down your back and to your rear. “I did not think you would want me to return.”
You spit into your palm so you could stroke him better. “How could I not want you? I’ve been listening to you moan this whole time.”
Roann chuckled. “I thought humans didn’t like anything outside their own kind.”
“Not true at all,” you laughed. “I have always enjoyed the company of-” You stopped yourself, not wanting to give away too much of your history.
His laugh grew. “I see. So you are prepared for this.’ His finger slipped between your cheeks gently nudging your sack.
You whimpered, stiffening at the pleasant touch.
Roann leaned in close. “If only my hands did not hurt me so, I’d have you spilled inside them right now.”
You turned and kissed him, moaning against his lips. “This warm mouth can take the place of your palms if you are so eager.”
“I bet you would be tasty.”
You stood up, holding your cock in your hand. You let him look at it before you pressed it against his lips.
“Easy now,” Roann laughed. He opened his mouth and pressed his tongue to your glands. He stuck it out further, gliding it down your shaft then lapping at your balls.
“Oh fuck!” You exclaimed. “That feels amazing.”
Roann’s tongue coiled around your shaft and he brought you between his lips. The soul was almost sucked from your body as he started. You gripped down onto his shoulders, holding on for dear life as this giant creature slurped and moaned upon you. His hands snak into your rear, holding it fondly.
“Gods! Gods!” You cried out. Your thighs began trembling and Roann pulled away. Had he not been holding you, you would have toppled over.
Roann licked his chops and grinned up at you.
“Why did you stop?” You wheezed.
“I have other ideas.” Roann stood and went to the shelf to grab a bottle near the jar of salve. He went to the bed, grabbing your cock, and pouring oil over the shaft. You moaned as he rubbed it in.
“What are you doing?”
Roann laid down upon the bed and pulled his knees up. “I might be too much for you, but you will be just right for me.” he reached down, easing an oiled finger into himself.
You watched in elation, eyes widening and jaw dropping.
“Do not worry, you will not be my first either,” he chuckled. “We all have been lonely, we all have histories.”
You gulped and crawled onto the bed. “I’m just amazed is all. I didn’t think I’d be so lucky as to-” You bit your lip and grinned
“Be quiet and do it. I am waiting.” Roann grabbed you by the cock and tugged you forward. He placed you at the correct spot then placed his hand around his own shaft.
You put your hands on the back of his thighs and breathed. “Give me a second. I don’t want to ruin it.” You steadied yourself, and steeled your mind. You then pushed forward, eased by the oil. He was tight and tested your stamina. You pushed inside, completely held by Roann.
Roann groaned loudly, throwing his head back so his beautiful hair spilled out all over the bed.
“Fucking heaven-” You strained.
“Move, hurry-” Roann’s voice was guttural. He stroked himself, rolling his hips to feel you.
You pulled out, carefully watching Roann’s expression. You eased back in, still focused upon him.
“Harder, please!” He whined.
You swallowed and nodded. “Okay. I’ll try.” You pulled out but rammed back in as hard as you could. You did this over and over, watching Roann melt under you. You lifted yourself up and pushed his legs back, driving deeper into him.
Roann threw himself back into the bed, clutching at the mattress with both hands. His thick cock hovered above his face, throbbing and aching.
“Don’t stop!” Roann begged. “Right there! Please!”
You never thought you’d see Roann with such an expression upon his face. He’d always been so strong, quiet, and reserved while you’ve been with him. You wanted to see more of this side of him. You wanted to continue giving him such pleasure and affection.
You drove harder into him, and Roann cried out.
“You’re making me come! I’ll come like this!”
“Good,” you huffed. “Come. Come!”
Roann’s face contorted more, he whined and whimpered, losing his breath as his cock began bouncing, his sack tightening. He came, and he came hard, splashing against his chest and face. Seeing this, you came to the end of your rope. Your hips bucked deep then froze upon your release. You threw you head back, choking on the deep all encompassing eruption.
You took deep breaths and gazed up at the ceiling. Slowly, you removed yourself from Roann and let him down upon the bed. You wiped sweat from your brow and ran your palm down your chest. You watched Roann, covered in his own mess, lay there upon the bed looking as docile as a kitten.
His eyes opened and looked up at you. You smiled and wiped his cheek. You lowered yourself down, laying upon his chest which felt so warm and safe. Roann placed a heavy arm around you and the two of you laid in silence for a long while.
Silence really did say everything.
“Roka told me you had a thing for humans,” you teased him.
Roann huffed. “I hope she didn’t tell you anything else.”
You smirked and lifted your head. “How many humans besides me have you seduced?”
“I do not go around seducing!” He huffed. “I barely go around at all. I live, I hunt, and I protect. Those are my main goals.”
You kissed his chest and neck, making him shudder. “I’ll tell you some of the folk I’ve shared my bed with.”
Roann huffed. “This isn’t a bragging contest.”
You rolled off his chest so you could face one another. You coiled a lock of his hair around your finger and kissed it, causing his gaze to soften.
“Then what else should we talk about?” You asked.
Roann licked his mouth then rubbed away some of his come from his beard. “You are my fourth,” he grumbled. “I’ve had two women and another man before you. But none of them have brushed my hair.”
You smiled and kissed his hair again. “I’ve been a bit more active. Traveling so much I’ve gotten to sample a lot of delicacies.”
Roann arched his brow. “Delicacies?”
You chuckled. “That does make me sound like some sort of sleaze. But I assure you, I am still on good terms with all of them.” You placed your hand upon his chest.
“When you return home, how will you think of me?” Roann murmured.
He pierced your heart with those words. “I won’t think of anything the same way because of you. Everything has changed because I met you, Roann. I don’t want to leave your side, but I know I must for my family.”
Roann’s eyes became wet and his smile was so beautiful. “Perhaps if you don’t get lost again, you can find your way back here.”
“Perhaps.” You pulled him in kissing him and combing your fingers through his hair. “You’ll have to teach me.”
As the winter storm calmed, you and Roann prepared for the journey back home. You loaded up Mortimer, who had been pampered and well taken care of by the warden villagers. He seemed hesitant to leave.
“If anything, he will find his way back,” Roann laughed.
“That would be helpful.” You looked up at Roann and sighed heavily. “Should we go now?”
Roann nodded. “Or else we will linger too long.”
It was hard to leave. You didn’t know when you could come back. So once you and Roann parted ways, that would be the last time for what would surely feel like an eternity.
“If we make it to the inn in time, we could spend the night there,” you said. “Then we can get to my home by the following evening.”
“I’m afraid I couldn’t stay.” Roann looked up at you and shook his head. “I would have to turn and go home.”
“Why? I’m sure they’d let you stay.”
Roann shook his head again. “We cannot linger, you know this.”
You frowned and agreed. “You really aren’t giving me an inch.”
“You are still healing. You need to get home where you can do that peacefully. You and I will meet again, that I am not concerned about.”
As you came towards the inn, you saw a familiar carriage out front. There was a sign on the side advertising the silversmith business you and your parents ran together.
“That’s my parent’s carriage!” You exclaimed. “What on earth are they doing here?”
Roann’s expression turned gentle and he smiled. “I would say they are looking for you. Shouldn’t you have been home by now?”
“Well yes but-”
A scream rang out through the dusk and you looked ahead to see your mother running through the snow towards you. You leapt off Mortimer, meeting her as she embraced you as tightly as she could.
“My baby! My baby! We’ve been so worried!” She wept as she cradled you like you were still a child.
“Mother, that hurts,” you laughed. “You’re squeezing too tight.”
She relented a little, inspecting your face and nearly crying at the bruises and cut that remained. “What on earth happened to you?”
“I got robbed,” you admit shyly. “After I got lost.”
“I knew it! You’re so headstrong. But I can’t blame you for that, you got it from me.” Your mother then looked at Roann who had tensed up since she appeared. “Did you have anything to do with this?”
You tried to jump between but she held you back. “He saved me. He’s the only reason I’m alive. He also got back most of the silver for us!”
“Then you should come home with us,” your mother said.
Roann looked terrified.
“You saved my son. The least we can do is invite you into our home for a spell.” She smiled and brought Roann into a hug. “What am I saying, you might as well be family from here on out!”
“Ma’am, that is very kind of you.” Roann was surprised, but you weren’t.
“You’re quite the handsome man aren’t you?” Your mother smoothed out his coat and aligned the buttons. “You remind me of my husband. He’s a minotaur, looks like a horned daisy,” she giggled.
Roann gave you an unprepared look.
You smirked at him. “See?”
Your mother grasped his hand and pulled him along. “Are you single? My son needs to start thinking about settling down.”
You suppressed your laugh as the three of you walked towards the inn together.
“Ma’am, you’re quite a shocking first impression,” Roann said unsurely.
You put your hand on his back to reassure him as your mother prattled on. Roann glanced towards you and smiled. In that silence between the two of you, his eyes said everything.
