You decide to sign up for it, just for the experience, for the excitement, to show off your pokemon you love so much.
you still have most of the berries from before, which for the sake of simplicity you started calling them Bellyum berries after some time, and you turn some of them into cubes and poffins to give your pokemon a little boost.
