T.W the Alien: Part Two (special preview)

T.W leaned back in his seat, using only one hand to clasp the wheel. You noticed a golden bracelet around his wrist that glittered when it caught the light of the street lamps.
Looking out the window you tried to think through what you’d like to say. The car was too quiet, due to it being electric and neither of you said anything since T.W opened the car door for you.
“So uh-” You started but quickly faded off. “Where do you live?” You wanted to bash your head against the meticulously kept dashboard.
“Big gray house up on a hill. You can see the gate from the road,” he said with that burly voice of his.
You were gobsmacked. “Grayside?”
T.W nodded.
“You’re the one who moved into Grayside? That’s all anybody in this town can talk about!”
“I’m aware.”
You closed your mouth, thinking perhaps the topic pissed him off some.
T.W’s free hand reached out, taking hold of your and holding it over the median. “It’s nothing like the rumors. The agent I bought it from cleaned it up before I got there.”
His hand in yours was big and warm. His purple skin was soft, not exactly velvet, but not exactly fur either. The pads of each finger were slightly raised and leathery. There was no signs of fingernails or claws on the tips, but he did have on a couple of sharp looking rings.
You touched a ring with your other hand. “You have really nice jewelry.”
“Thank you.”
You traced the veins on the back of his hand down then up his arm. When you reached his elbow he flinched as though he was ticklish. You smirked and moved your hand back.
“Where are we going?”
“A little place outside of town. D.D found it.”
You looked up from his hand. “D.D?”
“My friend, you met him.”
You nodded. “Green guy, right.”
T.W’s hand tightened in yours. “You can ask the big question if you want.”
You felt a shudder in his palm, almost as if the pads were moving. “Big question? What big question?”
“About my big secret.”
You nodded.”I figure you’d talk about it when you wanted. I didn’t wanna pry.”
“It’s alright. Might as well get it out of the way.” He turned slightly, looking at you with a glint in his unmoving eyes. “You had a stuffed toy of me?”
Your cheeks burned, suddenly very embarrassed under that gaze. “Yeah. I did. Purple was my favorite color.”
He chuckled and his hand moved from your grasp and wrapped about your thigh. “Is it still your favorite color?”
You gulped your heart back down into your chest and nodded.
