Female Reader x Male Halfling
As strange as it started, you had been going on dates with Milo for a while now. While his initial behavior towards you had been chilly and guarded, he had opened up more upon his confession. The two of you were being extremely cautious, of course, you were still coworkers. You had both agreed during that first date to keep it casual and see how things went. Which was proving to be a much harder task, because now that you could both be comfortable, you found yourselves to be highly compatible.
The hiring process though was still a struggle, you both had different ways of going about the process. Milo was much more rigid, while you still believed in that gut feeling. Working together despite this was going much better than before. Now that he wasn’t defensive about his feelings, he was more willing to work closely with you.
“We’ll have that big meeting at the end of the month with those from corporate. I would really love to get ahead of schedule to impress them. Especially since this is one of their smaller offices.” Milo was busy fussing over the copier, trying to make duplicates of your notes just so he could have them on hand. You came up behind him, bending down just enough to kiss his ear. He swatted like he had just been bit by a mosquito.
“What are you doing?” He hissed. “What if someone saw us?”
“You just looked so nice, I couldn’t help it.” You stood back erect and giggled. “Your face is all red.”
Milo whipped around, yanking papers from the mouth of the copier. “We talked about this. We have to be careful around the office. You can kiss whatever looks nice when we’re alone.”
You raised your eyebrows and bit back what would be an evil grin.
Milo glared knowingly at you. “Oh shut up.”
“I’ll behave, I promise. I’m just excited today, is all.” Today was your birthday, and since you weren’t near home with your friends, Milo had agreed to a special treat that evening. What it was he was keeping a tightly kept secret. The more he refused to tell, the more your excitement bubbled.
“Ugh yes, happy birthday,” he sighed. “Don’t put your head in clouds where I can’t reach. I may fail your expectations.”
“I’ve never had a date on my birthday, so it’s already really special for me.” I sat back down at the table, checking emails from the main office. “Have you ever had a date on your birthday?”
Milo finished at the copy machine and sat down to organize the papers in his special file. “Why ask such a thing?”
“Curiosity.” You leaned over towards him. “I’d like to know who tamed the wild Mr. Goodbody before me.”
Milo scoffed then took a quick look around, making sure no one was near. “I wouldn’t call it tamed. Tolerated mostly.”
“I can see that,” you said with a smirk.
He gave you a sharp warning look. “I’m not exactly a charming romantic. I’m barely cuddly. Well, you’ve met me.”
You watch him closely, noticing the way he was keeping his hands busy and his eyes averted. “Well, one of us has to be the sane one.”
Milo’s smile turns soft. “Well, that is true. You’re about as rigid as an eclair.”
He sighed, laying his paper down and smoothing his palms along the table. “I dated this guy for a long time, yes we had many birthday dates. But it ended because he thought I valued my job more than him.”
He stood up from the table. “And that’s the story of that.”
“Didn’t mean to poke a sore spot,” you murmured.
“Not at all. It was a long time ago. I’ll be right back, I’m going to get the mail to make sure that letter came.”
He left, leaving you to finish up your part of the presentation you’d be showing to the higher ups. As you’re trying to find oen of the papers he copied, you saw that within his notes were sketches. You pulled out the notebook where he had been drawing in the margins. The art was beautiful, strikingly so. But every sketch was you.
You had no idea he could draw, you had assumed he was all business. As you were looking over the drawings you heard him coming back, tossing mail to people as he went. You tucked the notebook away again and acted like you hadn’t seen a thing.
“We really need to hire someone to handle this,” he huffed. “The letter still hasn’t shown up.”
“That’s frustrating.” You watched him from the corner of your eyes, still trying to act nonchalant.
That evening Milo was picking you up from your hotel. Where you were going, you had no clue, what you were doing was also a complete mystery. All Milo asked was that you dressed nice. You kept thinking about the sketches in his notebook. You wanted to ask him about it, but after digging into his relationships that afternoon you really didn’t want to press your luck.
When Milo arrived he was dressed as impeccably as ever. The only difference was his hair wasn’t bound up like usual. Instead his long, strawberry blond curls were free and flowing. He looked both cherubic and like a romance novel cover all at once.
“So pretty,” you whispered under your breath.
“Yeah yeah, I know.” He held up a single rose. “I wasn’t sure what flower you’d like.”
You took the rose and sniffed it with a sweet smile on your lips. “I like roses.”
His cheeks turned soft pink and he took your hand. “Come along now, birthday surprises await.”
You held tenderly onto his hand, lacing your fingers together. “Where are we going?”
“My place,” he replied. “Dinner is waiting, so let's move it.”
You were stunned. “You made me dinner?”
His cheeks were not bright red. “It’s not a big deal. I cook all the time. I just thought if we ate at my place we wouldn’t have to rush or worry about making a scene.”
He peered up at you then looked away again. “So you could see how cuddly I’m not.”
You knelt down to hug him. “I love it!”
You’d been to his place once or twice, but never long. He was still in the process of moving in, so he had sparse decor and furniture with boxes placed about where they needed to be unpacked. Although now, he had a table with two chairs set up and a bouquet placed in the middle. He lit candles then poured you a glass of champagne.
“This is so nice. I’m really flattered!”
“It’s dinner, easy enough.” He held up his glass. “Happy birthday, hopefully it’ll stay that way.” You clinked glasses together and took a sip. It was delicious, surprisingly sweet. As you smiled he leaned in, capturing your cheek and pressing a firm kiss to your lips. You touched his chest then gently moved your fingers to his hair. It was so silky, it felt magical.
“Alright, let me go fetch dinner.” He cleared his throat. “Just stay put.”
You pressed a soft kiss to his neck before he left. “I wouldn’t dare move.”
He turned quickly to hide his blushing face. When he returns he has homemade bread and potato soup, followed by a lush salad with berries and grilled chicken. It was the kind of meal you really enjoyed. He must have taken notice.
“Everything is so good!” You were so impressed by how good a cook he was. “Where’d you learn to cook like this?”
“My grandmother, she taught me everything. Wait until you see your birthday cake.” He gave you a smug little wink.
“You made me a cake too?” You gasped.
Milo’s smile grew. “It’s supposed to be a special night, right?”
You had never wanted to make out with a date before in your life. But you’d behave until the meal was over. It looked like he’d worked so hard on it. Milo finished his meal and cleared away the plates.
“Stay put,” he said again. “Enjoy your drink and I’ll be right back.”
“Will do.” You sat back, sighing contentedly as you were almost full. A few minutes later the lights dimmed. You looked towards the kitchen door as Milo stepped out, carrying your cake.
“I would sing, but I fear I would throw up all over this cake, and I worked too hard on it.” he set the immaculate confection before you. Chocolate covered strawberries were just the start of what could only be described as a chocolate coma waiting to happen. As he sliced into the cake the three layers were two dark chocolate with a pink layer sandwiched between.
“You made this?”
“It’s easy.” He was still being smug. “I like baking, actually.” He handed you your slice. “I just don’t ever have a reason to, so I went a little wild with this.”
You stole a kiss before he could move out of the way. There was a taste of chocolate on his tongue, he’d already sampled the icing. “Thank you.”
Milo placed his hand upon your cheek and gently smoothed your hair from your face.
“I wanted to. So--” He cleared his throat. “Try it.”
You took a bite and were awed. It was so good! You couldn’t compliment him enough about it. After dessert, Milo took you into his living room. He did have a sofa yet, just a recliner. But he’d moved everything in his living room away from the center where he had a blanket and pillows spread out. He turned on a light which cast stars upon the ceiling and played music.
“I thought you weren’t romantic?” You teased as you sat on the floor.
“I looked this up on pinterest. Nothing could be less romantic than that place.” He sat down close to you then laid back onto the floor. You joined him, looking up at the starry light show on the ceiling. Milo reached out, taking your hand and kissing the back of it. You rolled over, taking his kiss. He too slid in closer, bracing himself above you. The kisses deepened, the gentle touches turned to clinging fingers and desperate palms.
Milo sat up, catching his breath while your fingers had pulled up his shirt. He looked surprisingly rugged then. “Okay uhm, I want to do something, and it might sound crazy.”
“Okay,” you giggled. “Go ahead.”
Milo licked his lips. “I want to draw you real fast.”
You sat up in surprise. “Draw me?”
“I said it was crazy.” Milo stood up and took out a large drawing pad from behind some boxes. “I don’t have to do it now. But preferably before the big meeting.”
You smiled at him. “I saw your sketches in your notebook. I didn’t know you were an artist, too.”
“I haven’t done it in awhile,” he huffed. “Back when I first applied to be an artist at the main office they decided to hire me for my business degree.” He sat back down with me. “I started sketching you and couldn’t stop.”
You kissed him, pressing your lips to his neck as you unbuttoned his shirt. His chest was covered in sparse blonde curls. You kissed him there, going further down his chest.
“What're you doing?” Milo panted.
“A quick thank you is all.” You smirked up at him as you undid his belt. “If you don’t mind.”
“Wa-wait there a second!” He placed his hand over his crotch before you could tug down the zipper. “Remember now, I’m a halfling. I hadn’t expected you to be so...bold tonight. I was going to eat you out and leave it at that. If you’re going to do this then, well-” His cheeks burned bright red.
You kissed him softly, touching his cheek and running your fingers through his hair. “I can stop, but I really like you, and tonight was so good, I wanna show my appreciation a bit.”
“But it’s your birthday I should-” You kissed him again.
“And if it’s alright, this is what I want right now.” He kissed his neck and ear, gently biting him. He moaned longingly as you went down again. You tugged down his pants, finding his underwear tented quite nicely. You exposed him, seeing him throbbing against his belly. Milo tensed up, nervous at your gaze. You didn’t hesitate, licking him from base to tip. His breath shuddered and you smiled pleased.
“You’re quite thick,” you purred as you kissed up the shaft.
“Really?” You gulped down. “Well, short and stocky and all-” he laughed.
You kisse the glans at the top and were greeted with a droplet of precum. It was surprisingly sweet to the taste. You took him into your mouth and he moaned out loudly. He thrusted his head back, panting hard the more you licked and sucked. He got very hard, and he took on a very nice size.
“Enough, enough,” he huffed. “It’s your turn, birthday girl.” He stood up, kissing you while taking off your clothes. He laid you down, kissing every inch of you. His mouth felt warm against your breasts, his tongue pressed against you before his teeth dragged down them.
“Okay now.” Milo sat up, taking a hair tie from his wrist and pulling his hair back. “Your turn.” He pushed your legs back and knelt between them. His tongue touched first, pressing in to find you had become soft and creamy. He chuckled softly, going deeper along with his fingers. You squeal quietly, cupping your hand around your mouth. Milo spread you open, looking over you with a smug smile upon his face. His fingers traced you before circling your clit.
“You’re cute everywhere I look, it’s frustrating,” Milo moaned. He licked his fingers clean and returned them to your core. They slipped inside and back out, circling your clit once more. He lowered back down, pressing his lips around your clit. You lost your breath, nearly clobbering your head into the hard floor as he sucked. When he added his fingers inside, it was almost too much. Stars appeared in your eyes and you had to shove him in order to catch your breath.
Milo sat up, pleased as punch at your powerful reaction. “I didn’t think you’d be so quick.” You grabbed him, pulling him down and kissing him hungrily.
“Fuck me,” you begged.
“Really?” He blurted, his eyes nearly bugging from his head.
You nodded. “Please, I want you.”
“Wll uh-” He gulped and looked down. “I mean, I want to but I uh...I think my mouth might be better suited to uh-”
You touched his cheek, making him look back at you. “I want you.”
Milo took a deep breath. “Fine. You want me. You’ll get me.” he moved into place, tapping his cock against your slit. There was a nervousness to his eyes as he began to slip inside you. His expression melted as he fit inside. He was warm and hard, and you squeezed around him. He went slow at first, watching you to make sure this wasn’t just a joke. Bit by bit, his confidence returned, and he thrust you into another wave of breath taking pleasure. While Milo had claimed he wasn’t cuddly, he certainly wanted to be cuddled then. He snuggled up to you, resting his head against your breasts while he drifted to sleep.
“What’ll happen when I have to leave?” You asked softly.
“I want to say we’ll figure it out, but even so I want to be pragmatic about this.” He looked into your eyes. “I don’t just do this for no reason. I wanted this because I feel something for you.”
You smiled. “I know.”
“I know you travel a lot,” he grumbled.
You kissed him. “Let's not think about that now.” You kissed him more and more. “Can we go again?”
“Of course.” he chuckled. “But first, I want to draw you as you are.” He took out his sketch pad, drawing you there on the floor. When he was done and the sun rose, you made love again.
Once your time at Milo’s branch was over, you went back home. You and Milo talked often, and were making plans for a weekend visit. You went on another assignment, and after that you saw Milo again. He had been doing art again, and he had so much to show you, including more he’d done of you. He was extremely talented, and he even had someone wanting to buy a piece.
When you go back, your boss has a new assignment for you. This time, it would require a permanent move. To your shock, you were taking over Milo’s vacated position. “Since you’re already familiar with that branch, we thought it would be best. Especially since you put in your request to be placed in a fixed location.”
“What about Milo?” You were nervous, he hadn’t mentioned this to you.
“He put in his two week notice. He’ll be there to help you get settled. But since you were there not so long ago it shouldn’t be too big a concern.”
You didn’t hesitate to call Milo as soon as you left the meeting. You were frantic, worried that something had happened.
“Surprise,” he chuckled. “I decided to take my own advice. I’m going to try freelance art again.”
“But your job!” You blurted.
“It’s yours now, right? I suggested you for it. Did you get it?”
“Yeah but-” Your heart was racing. “Are you really sure about this?”
Milo sighed. “I’m already much more excited about this next step than I ever was with that job. I’m excited to create art again, and more than that, I’m excited about you. I love you, come home.”
It was the first time he ever said it, and you started crying over the phone. Milo came up to help you pack and find a place. You were able to find an apartment that was not far from his home.
“Once I get settled I bet you’ll be begging me to move in,” you teased him.
“You’ll be begging me,” he jabbed back. He kissed you and you ran your fingers through his hair. “But for now, I don’t have to worry about anything.”
You kissed him back. “Just an art block.”
“You’re my muse, I’m not worried about that at all.” Milo pushed you down onto the floor and stood over you with a grin. You’d never enjoyed a view so much before.
