Kai!!! There is so much more to the game! More cinematics, deep story, and a more fleshing out of the characters from the side quests that were not all shown to completion here. I replayed the game over to do them all, as they are easy to miss, and it adds so much context to the ending and story! I highly recommend you grab those too or experience them yourself when you personally play. They are so worth it, the character side stories from relationship development that is.

2025-05-22 22:42:48 +0000 UTCPicked Verso's ending myself. much better. i personally don't see any logic in Maelle's ending. its selfish tbh, Her ending really shows the immaturity she still possesses, and the exact reasonings behind Renoir's actions. she never plans to leave, she "thinks" she can, but in reality it has too much of what she desires that she can not have in the real world. 100% back Renoir/Versos reasonings *also, if they didnt show, the reason Esquie knows Sciel, is because after her husband dies, she swims out in the middle of the ocean to, "end it", and all she remembers is waking up back on the beach in Lumiere. but Esquie found and "saved" her. hence the "hello, my little swimmer friend"

I literally cried on that fight

2025-05-20 20:09:32 +0000 UTCGlad you loved it! Picking Maelle is wild though...Verso is definitely the correct "good" ending, worth a look on YT if you haven't yet. Also worth noting, the Renoir that killed Gustave and the for the majority of the game was the "fake" painted version.... it's true he did not want to be erased, and therefore was stopping the merry ole expeditions. The real Renoir was just a father and husband looking out for his family as they were struggling with grief. 10/10 game in my opinion, I can't recall ever playing a game that truly exceeded expectations in every conceivable way possible. GOTY for me, if not, decade.

Everything looked so abstract. So that's how I saw the second and third acts. And then it just the story just totally threw me for a loop.
