Surprise drop for you guys!

I hope you enjoy the video as much as I did watching/making. Put simply, the best surprise, cold calling video I've made on the channel. If you've played it, you already know why and if you haven't and you're joining me for the first time... Then let me explain!

Part 2 of this is coming this week and nope, I love this game except for that part... You know what I mean. Yeah, that part.

Just getting around to watching your thoughts, because I've been playing through the game and I cant wait to see you continue, the game is a masterpiece in storytelling, the score is incredible , and it is visually incredible. Saw your post about marmite and I just hope it isn't this that you are moving on from.

the "tilt shift" looks like that because its in whats called "the Overworld" its like a miniature sized overview of the map that you run around and cant then enter into other areas/maps in the world

As you found you were quite correct about it being Charlie Cox, the mo cap was done by a french actor (don't know his name) and the face as much as it looks like Robert Pattinson was actually based on a chap at the studio named Leo Paris who is one of their VFX artists. Something else I found awesome was the guy who leads the music team has never done a game before and the game director found him while trawling soundcloud for inspiration. Love when a bunch of passionate people come together and make something having this level of success.

Nice! Will check this out as soon as I finish the game

I'm looking forward to playing the game and a movie too, oh yeah!

A nice data drop here is that right now they are starting to work in a live action film adaptation because of the huge success it had recently. I think that is also fueled by the streak of live action game adaptations like Minecraft, The last of us, etc. A few decades back this would have been just a great game that would have stayed in the memories of gamers, but nowadays it has the opportunity to trascend media to a TV/film format and I think it will be a blast to watch. Especially if Charlie Cox is involved in the project as well, and I saw that Andy Serkis is also voice acting in the game, and if he is involved in the adaptation too that combo would break every cinema screen when it comes out

I've been playing this game the past few days, haven't been able to put it down! It's absolutely amazing, everything about it feels like its movie quality. The visuals, the story, the soundtrack and even the gameplay feels like its the top of the industry. And the fact that this game was made by only 30 people, and on top of that it's the first game the studio made.

I want to watch this! But I want to play it more!!! πŸ™ƒ

This game came out of nowhere to me, but everyone so positive about it, so very excited to see your reaction Though, will add it to the watchlist until I play and finish it myself :p

I'm so glad you seemed to enjoy it so far. Like you, I went into it completely blind and was just blown away. The art direction, music, cinematography, world building. Really masterclass. It's amazing a ~30 man dev team was able to put this together. Unreal Engine 5 is nuts. Funny enough, you mentioned this would make a fantastic movie; I just read an article earlier today that there is indeed a movie in the works. Imagine Charlie Cox playing Gustav in live action. That would be wild
