Female Main Character x Male Reader
The Emotions Catalog was fairly new when I joined on. I had been working at the Sacred Archives for some time, so I had a set way of doing things already. Meeting Lutwidge for the first time, I thought I sensed a kindred soul who understood the work we were doing. He seemed so charming and regal upon our first encounter.
“I’m so excited to have a Platinum here,” he said. His hair was kept short back then, not the long mane he had now. He also wore his glasses regularly, and he had this wise, scholarly look to him.
“I’m very excited to be here myself,” I said as I followed along beside him. “I can’t wait to start working on the Catalog and make it something just as special as the Archives.”
Lutwidge got a look upon his face. “Oh, that’s right. You worked there.” he looked me up and down. “Emotions are a special thing,” he said calmly. “They won’t be as easy as the Archives, since they’ve had their system in place for ages.” He gave me a smile. “Things are going to be very different here at the Catalog. Be prepared for that.”
Nothing could prepare me for what was going to become my norm from then on out. While keeping up appearances and making the top brass happy, Lutwidge also knew how to keep himself happy. He found a way to dilute emotions and turn them into flavors and essences for people to imbibe. He often used the hookah as his preferred method for such a thing.
“Why should the Catalog be used only by the higher powers of Miror? They claim it’s for the best, but what will the rest of Miror see?” He told me one day when I questioned his shady dealings. “The Archives are used by everyone, but the Catalog?”
I was a bit more timid back then. “But that’s the order-”
Lutwidge put his finger on my lips. Yes, I’ll confess, at the time I did have a crush on him, and such a move made me swoon a little. “Haven’t you ever wanted to change the order and make it your own?” He brushed my hair from my face then slowly rubbed it up my soft, white ear. “Haven’t you ever thought you could do it so much better?”
I was blushing from my nose to the tips of my toes. “Well,” I fidgeted. All of that was not doing anything for my encroaching heat.
“Access to the masses is what I want.” he placed two of his six hands on my shoulders. “Don’t you want to help me achieve that?”
I stiffened up and nodded. “Yes, sir!”
Lutwidge chuckled softly then patted my head. “Alright then. From now on, it’s just the two of us. I’ll take care of you, and you take care of me.”
I was so excited even my tail began to twitch. “Yes! Of course!”
I’ve often thought back on how our relationship began, both with work and personal. I had supposed all this time he had charmed me and, over time, I just accepted him and his ways as being part of my life. But there must be more to it than what I’ve seen on the surface.
At first we worked together quite well. I took to the Catalog naturally, while Lutwidge took ease at handling people, especially those in charge. The Catalog was this big, brand new building, and the main hall was where all the work was done. The long hall was filled with shelves that moved and spun, revealing cabinets full of the emotions we kept. I created a system of organizing, first going by the basics of emotion and then splintering off by the subsets of each, as well as cross referencing those that blended together.
“Remarkable, this really is intuitive,” Lutwidge said one day, after going over my notes. “This will make the top brass very happy to see.”
“You really think so?” I gasped in elation. “I had tried introducing this method back when I worked at the Sacred Archives, but it’s so hard to make changes there. Everyone is so set in the old ways.” I smiled up at him. “So I'm happy you like this, sir.”
“No sense in settling on one thing,” Lutwidge replied. “Do you mind if I ask something?”
I was actually happy to have him ask me questions. “Go ahead!”
Lutwidge lowered the notebook in his hand and turned to face me. “Why do you call me sir? I never asked for that, nor is it needed.”
That wasn’t quite the question I was expecting. “That’s just what I am used to, I suppose. Even though I am a platinum rabbit, I was still one of the underlings at the Sacred Archives. This is my first job where I have a leader role. I should have asked what you would like.”
“Sir is fine. Lutwidge sounds so fussy when you say it out loud,” he laughed. “Call me sir or whatever you like. But what should I call you?”
“Dulcie is fine,” I replied. “I am not too picky. After being called ‘you there’ for so long, anything sounds much better.”
Lutwidge chuckled and he patted the top of my head. “Well, keep up the good work, Dulcie. I think the two of us will make a remarkable team.”
The first time I went to him in agony over my heat, he was gentle and took care of me. I had been trying so hard to not rely on him for that, but the moment he touched me, laying all six hands upon me, I knew I would become addicted to that. So many hands touching me everywhere, it was enough to make a normal person go crazy. But being a rabbit, it did so much more to me.
“You’re getting so warm, Dulcie.” Those words whispered into my ear drove me crazy. “Don’t get embarrassed. This is natural, right? Why not enjoy all the strong feelings it brings. That’s what the Catalog was made for, right?” In the light of the moon, his blue skin looked so beautiful. I was enraptured by the vision of him.
“Please kiss me again.” I begged him, I wanted him. Over time it was much less emotional than that. It began more like scratching an itch than anything. As long as we got off, it didn’t matter much. But I can still remember how strong that first time was. How much I loved his hands, his mouth, his body. I could never shed the memory of that shade of blue the moon created on his skin.
Over time, though, I grew a tough shell. In order to make the Catalog run, I had to take on the persona I held now. Lutwidge had shown his true colors, and as such, I had to learn how to be firm in order to keep everything running smoothly.
Due to the ease of everything, and how favored he was by the top brass, Lutwidge started getting a bit lazy. That’s when he took up the hookah, as well as his bouts of sleep walking. He enjoyed lounging and letting things run on their own.
“When you told me before that order was meant to be disrupted, I never assumed you meant this.” I had cleaned his room for him just to find some documents that had been sent down from the top brass. “There’s chaos, and then there’s you!”
Lutwidge smirked. “Admit it, this was a bright spot in your day. You’re so stuck in your routine, day in and day out, how would you ever have fun with me?”
“By throwing myself in front of a train.” I shuffled through the documents. “It would be a lot less messy than you at least.”
Lutwidge just grinned. “When did you become such a sour puss? What happened to the cute little rabbit who was eager to do anything.”
“I told you, she jumped in front of a train.” I laid down the documents and sighed. “What happened to you by the way? You look like your own lazy brother.” I handed him a pen from my pocket. “Sign these please. I’ll fill them out later.”
“You can do better than that, Dulcie.” Lutwidge signed the documents where I pointed then handed me back my pen. “I know that you and I have a very special relationship. You can say anything to me.”
“Yeah well, keep yours’ shut for most of the time.” I snatched the documents back. “Keep this room clean. What sort of man are you?”
After Lutwidge had been affected by the truth, I had decided to give him some time to simmer. He had run away from me a while ago. After blurting out those three little words, he’d gone and hid in his room, locking the door. I guess he forgot I had keys for everywhere in the Catalog. So after waiting for him to cool down, I unlocked his room. I was a bit shocked by what he had said. But I was keeping it at the back of my mind. I was hiding it, but Lutwidge was hiding himself.
“It’s almost time for dinner. Time to get up.” I strutted into his room. He was laying in bed, sprawled out and covering his face with a pillow. “Will you want me to deliver your meal here, sir?” I opened up a curtain to let in some light.
Lutwidge said something, but he was muffled and stifled by the pillow.
“I didn’t catch that, sir.” I went back to his bedside and leaned over. “What did you say? Please speak up.” I lowered an ear closer towards him.
He grumbled and thrashed under the covers. “Get out of here!”
“And what are you being so pouty for?” I placed my hands onto my hips. “Do you want me to finish you off? Because that offer is moot after you pushed me.”
Lutwidge threw his pillow into my face and he threw his cover over top of himself to continue hiding.
I scoffed, as I knocked aside the pillow. “Are you embarrassed?”
“Go away!” He snapped. “I can’t look at you right now.”
I sat down on the edge of the bed. “I rarely want to look at you, but I have to do it daily, sir.” I tossed the idea of confessing to him how I laced his hookah with a tiny dash of truth. Maybe it would make him feel better, maybe even worse.
“I don’t know why I said that,” he growled. “It just felt like something came over me and-” he stopped and threw back the blankets. He grabbed me and pushed me down onto the bed. “You kept that vial of Himley’s, didn’t you?”
I shrugged. “I was curious.” I suppose I should feel bad, but instead I felt more curious to see how this would play out.
Lutwidge looked down at me with contempt. His hair fell in his face and all four eyes were razor sharp upon me.
I then realized the worst thing I could say to him. “Are you telling me that the truth Himley made worked?”
Lutwidge was quiet and his grip on me faded. I sat up, looking him over. And I don’t know why, but I felt hopeful. “Or were you speaking in the heat of the moment?” I asked.
Licking his lips, Lutwidge avoided looking at me. “I should throw you out the window right now for using me as a lab rat.”
I placed my hand over one of his. “Lab rats are useful, sir.”
He faced me again, his eyes narrowing as I smirked. He snatched his hand away, lifting it then dropping it back down to his side. “There’s no way that serum could have worked. Himley has no idea what he’s talking about. The man wouldn’t know the truth if it came out of his own mouth.”
I scooted to the edge of the bed and hopped off over the side. “See? Nothing to worry about. Now get out of bed and come to dinner.” Lutwidge grabbed my hand. I turned back to face him, seeing a rather dark expression in his eyes.
“What now?” I scoffed, pushing aside the slight pitter patter in my chest.
“You’re not getting away after you tricked me like that.” Lutwidge tugged my arm and pulled me back down into bed. “You’re going to pay for that.”
I was laid on my back, but I started wiggling to get onto my side. “I have some coins in my pocket if you want to fish them out, sir.” I rolled over onto my belly and stuck my ass out to him. “Just reach in, that should cost the same amount as your dignity.”
Lutwidge’s hand came down on my ass in a hard clap. I cried out from surprise more than it hurt. “Hey!” I snapped once that wore off.
“Hay is for horses.” He pulled off my skirt and undergarments. “You’re a rabbit.”
“Oh, real smart, Farmer Lutwidge! Did you have to go to school for a long time to learn that.” He pushes me down again, keeping one hand on the back of my neck and the other on my lower back. His palm smooths over my cheek where he struck before. He pops me again and I whimper into the bed.
“You’ve made me very mad, Dulcie,” he growled. He spanks me again on the opposite cheek. “You’re not getting away with this.”
I didn’t want to, but for some reason I enjoyed this. I moaned as he spanked me again, wiggling my butt as he groped me with two hands. He laughed behind me, grabbing my hips firmly and holding me still.
“Be still. This isn’t something for you.” He bit my ass, and hard too. He laughed when I yelped and he bit me again. His tongue lapped over the bite marks. “Look at you.” His hand grabbed between my thighs, groping my mound against his palm. “Such a mess. You rabbits will get turned on for anything.”
I managed to turn my head so I could breathe. “You think that has anything to do with you?” I grunted. “You think those weak little love taps are doing anything for me?”
He spanked me again, one sound clap, then another, and another. He then rubbed my rear sensually, soothing the slight ache and burn he inflicted. I was enjoying it, his touch, his pampering, even the slight pain itself. I bit my lip, still forcing myself to keep quiet.
Lutwidge chuckled and he slid a finger inside me. “You’re enjoying this. Embarrassing me. Getting punished.”
I tried to keep my moan in check but his finger felt so good. The sound slipped out and my fingers dug into the bedding.
“I should embarrass you.” He popped my ass again. “Maybe I should find that vial and make you try it.”
“I haven’t told you anything you’ve never heard,” I huffed.
Lutwidge pulled my hips back, pressing my rear against his stomach. I felt his open mound and the two shafts as they began to protrude out. “I bet there are some funny thoughts running through that head right now.” He pulled me up, using all six hands to hold me. I suppose he didn’t know I loved this.
I leaned back against his chest. “Just come and forget all about it.”
I felt his breath on my neck, then his teeth. He bit down hard there while he thrust himself inside me. I was knocked breathless, unprepared for how good this would feel. My body shuddered and he took note of that.
“I know it does me better to shut that sour mouth of yours, but this feels much better. Plus, no teeth.”
“That you-” I gulped. “That you know of.”
Lutwidge thrust up hard into me, making me whine from the pleasure. He laughed, doing it again and again, rattling my senses until I couldn’t make a single thought in my head. He felt different somehow, more powerful, more intent. This wasn’t our usual scratching an itch. This was something else, something much more. There was something deeper here, but neither of us were going to acknowledge that and ruin it. We both felt too good.
Once he was done, he tossed me down onto the bed. I splayed out, whimpering between giggles. I stretched, felt cool air on my loins and realized how hard he’d gone. I curled up into a ball, hiding my grin as I cupped my hand around myself. I could feel him seeping out between my fingers.
Lutwidge wiped his face and took several deep breaths before he spoke again. “I told you to get rid of that vial. I want you to bring it to me when you can walk again,” he chuckled.
I propped myself up. “You think too highly of yourself, sir. Seriously.”
Lutwidge lowered himself down over me. “Then get up and walk.”
I pressed my finger to his lips like he had done to me so long ago. “Why do you want it if you claim it doesn’t work?”
He bit my finger tip. “Just bring it.”
I licked my lip. “If you say you love me again.”
His eyes flickered and he sat up from the bed. He walked away from me, closing the curtain so the room went dark again. Lutwidge breathed slowly, keeping his back turned to me. I stood up from the bed and moved behind him.
“Do you not like that I have power over you?” I touched his back, smoothing my hand down an arm. “Is that what’s wrong?”
“Don’t touch me.” He yanked away from me.
There were a great deal of things I could have done in that moment. I could have left the room and gone back to our usual way of living. I could have made a joke, I even could have fetched that vial. Instead I wanted to stay, I wanted him to turn in my direction. “Sir, look at me.”
Lutwidge’s body went stiff but he turned nonetheless. He faced me, his lower body wrapped around me. His eyes glared, but there was a pout to his lips. I smiled at him, slipping my fingers under his chin. “You and I have always been precarious. Since the moment I walked through those doors. We’ve learned to live together, learned to cope. But now that the truth is out, what will really change?”
Lutwidge’s eyes narrowed upon me. “You think I’m pathetic, don’t you?”
“I’ve always thought that, sir.” I patted his cheek and smiled.
Lutwidge smiled back at me. “Who thinks so highly of themselves now?”
I stepped away from him, gathering my things from the floor and the bed. “I always have, sir. Now get dressed, and let's go to dinner.”
“Wait,” his voice was low and serious and the tone of his gave me pause. “That’s it? That’s all?” He scoffed.
“What more do you want?” I asked.
“What more?” he huffed. “I blurted out...what I blurted out, and you acted like nothing happened? It really meant nothing to you?”
I held my clothes close and fussed with them a bit. I knew if I avoided looking at him, he’d suspect something. “Did it mean something to you, sir?”
He scoffed and ran his fingers through his hair.
“Look, we both depend on each other to a certain extent. We both know this and we both don’t acknowledge it. This is how we work. If I ignore this, it allows you to continue-”
Lutwidge glares at me and he grabs me with two hands. “Don’t ignore it.”
“I-” I grew uneasy. “You ignore it!” I didn’t know how to handle this.
“Don’t ignore me.” Lutwidge gave me a good shake. “Truth or not, you should be reacting to what I said.”
I put both my hands against his face. “I’m reacting to your breath!” There was no way I was ever going to speak the truth. Unless-
I pushed Lutwidge away and ran away from him without a word. He gave chase, following me to my room where I snatched the vial.
“What are you doing?” Lutwidge extended a hand out. “Give that to me!”
I shook my head and took off the cap then licked it.
“Dulcie!” He snapped.
I took a breath. I didn’t feel any different. There wasn’t even any taste to it. I smacked my lips and looked around. “Maybe it doesn’t work.” I closed the capper again.
“What’d you do that for?” Lutwidge came over and snatched the vial from my hands.
“Because I was too scared.” I flinched and covered my mouth.
Lutwidge furrowed his brow at me. “What?”
I moved my hand away. “I couldn’t say it myself. So I took the truth in order to tell you the truth.” I looked up at him. “It does matter. Your words do mean something. The three of them.” I clenched my hands into fists and steadied myself. “Ask me why!”
Lutwidge shook his head as he looked at me. All six hands were uncertain what to do. They moved this way and that as he tried to sort this out. “Why do they mean some-”
“Because I love you too!” I snapped.
“Oh,” Lutwidge sat down on the edge of my bed. “Really?”
I nodded, stiffening my jaw as I looked at him. “For a long time.”
“Me too,” he murmured.
I threw my arms around him, and all six of his wrapped around me. “Of course you love me, look at me.”
Lutwidge chuckled and he nuzzled his cheek to my head. “We can’t let Himley know it worked.”
“No,” I shook my head. I then sat up and looked him in the eye. “I’m sorry,” I murmured. “I shouldn’t have snuck you the truth. I was curious to see what it could do.”
Lutwidge kissed me. “That’s okay. I’m kind of glad we have it.” He smoothed his finger across my lip. “This feels weird, doesn’t it? I’m not used to us being nice.”
“Okay, good! I felt bad I felt that way too!” I started laughing and I hugged him close. “I’m the only one who gets to be mean to you.”
“Agreed,” Lutwidge laughed.
