The Caterpillar: Part One (complete)

Female Main Character x Male Monster

Several years ago, I had been hired for a very special job which would put all my expertise and training to the test. This was something I was extremely excited for. It was a dream come true, especially considering all the others who could have been chosen. I was one of the elite, a white rabbit who was born to raise out of her class and station. I was known as a platinum rabbit, born to do things within the world no one else could. Some platinum rabbits took care of time, others took care of space. There were those lucky enough to be the keepers of thought. All of these were connected to the Sacred Archive and its workings within Miror. The job I was assigned was part of the Emotions Catalog. Compared to the others, this was much newer, much more experimental.

Back when I was first assigned, I could not have been more pleased. I had a chance to help create something special and unique for all of Miror. My special talents would be put towards good use! But then I met my boss. Lutwidge Von Peplum Leonidovich, a man of great skill, intelligence, as well as a large appetite. He had many fingers in many pies I came to find out, not just because he had six hands either. Lutwidge’s appetite stemmed from a great greed, one for money mostly. He had been placed in charge of the Emotions Catalog and found there was a great demand for the product.

To put it bluntly and get to the point: my job was not what I expected.

The mornings are my favorite time of day. I wake up early just so I can enjoy them. Over the last few years, I have carved out a path which I follow every day. Rabbits are creatures of habit, often performing the same routine and rituals day in and day out. Even if I am a platinum, I still enjoy my habits. Before I have to go to work each day, I go through my mornings in precisely the same fashion.

Although some mornings are interrupted. There are those days where I wake with Lutwidge passed out in my room. Mostly he’s on the floor, but sometimes I do find him at the foot of my bed, in my closet, and once he had somehow gotten himself stuck under my bed.

“Get up, sir,” I sighed. “That trash is supposed to be collected today, and I know how much you enjoy that ride every week.”

Lutwidge grumbled and snorted, laying there on my floor like the waste of space he was. He was completely blue from head to toe. I already mentioned he has six arms, three on each side. His bottom half is long and fuzzy, as well as being plump and squishy.

I sighed and rolled my eyes. “Come now, aren’t you a bit old to be acting so pathetic?” I knelt down before him, tugging on one of his antennas. He let out the most pitiful whelping noise before opening his four eyes.

“Why must you ruin the best parts of my dreams?” Lutwidge pushed himself up off the ground. “Shouldn't you be breeding somewhere?”

“You like imagining that, don’t you, sir?” I adjusted my glasses, which I hadn’t had a chance to clean yet due to his intrusion. “What did you do, sir?”

Lutwidge rubbed his face with two hands, using two others to rub up and down his chest. “Where are my clothes?” He finally realized he was nude.

“I’m sure they’re safe with your dignity.” I tossed a sheet at him so he could cover himself. “Please tell me this was another sleepwalking incident.”

“Has to be, why would I come here otherwise?” He wrapped the sheet around himself and gazed around my room. “Really, Dulcie, your room is so depressing. Why don’t you do something down here to make it more cheerful?”

“What? And forget I work for you, sir?” I ushered him to the door, opening it so he could see himself out. “Don’t forget, you have that meeting today with Himley. So I suggest you get some rest before I come to deliver your breakfast.”

Lutwidge shivered. “I hate that man. Is there no one you can handle that meeting by yourself today, Dulcie.”

“I’ve done it the past two times, sir. He’s starting to get aggravated that he can’t see you. We wouldn’t want to lose his business, now would we?”

A grimace crossed his face and the blue of his cheeks appeared much darker. “Oh, fine. But then you have to handle the next two meetings he comes for.”

“Buy two get one free, how kind of you, sir.” I see him into the hallway, making sure he heads back towards his quarters. I was supposed to be an engineer to the Emotions Catalog, instead I was a glorified babysitter to a giant blue man.

Later, when I went to Lutwidge’s room, I opened up his curtains then the windows to let in fresh air and sunlight. I cleared off the clutter on his table to serve him breakfast, and then I laid out clothes for him from his closet.

“Must you be so cruel?” Lutwidge sighed from the bed.

“I can do so much worse if you are asking, sir.” I replied. “Get up, I’d say you’ve had enough rest to be able to deal with Himley. You just need to get a good breakfast into you.”

“I need more than breakfast to deal with him.” Lutwidge sat up in bed and I placed the tray in his lap. “That man is a living ulcer on my cheek.”

“Now you must know how I feel,” I scoffed at him.

Lutwidge smiled at me while I poured his coffee. “You’re the only one who gets me, Dulcie.” he reached out, capturing my chin in one of his big blue hands. “I can’t stand you.”

“The feeling is mutual, sir. Now let go of me, I would so hate for my skin to stain.” I shove away his hand, placing a cup of coffee in it.

“What did I do before you?” Lutwidge sipped his coffee gingerly. He loved it so hot that it could melt away flesh. He claimed it served him better that way.

“I’m not sure sir. I don’t like thinking about such awful things.” I took the clothes I picked out for him and laid them out. “I know no matter what I tell you, you’re going to be late. But I will hold off Himley as long as I can.”

Lutwidge looked up from his coffee cup which he extended out for a refill. “You know what would help me relax, Dulcie?”

I filled his coffee cup back up then looked into his black eyes. “I would think a frying pan thrown at five miles an hour would suffice, but I have a feeling that is not what you are thinking about.”

Lutwidge smirked and licked his lips. “That sour little mouth of yours is all I can think about.” he reached out with one of his six hands and pulled my head down towards his. “How much venom have you got today?”

I stuck out my tongue at him. “Enough to erode what little you have left, sir.”

Lutwidge leaned in, kissing my tongue then my lips as I sucked it back in. “It’s been a while, Dulcie,” he growled into my ear.

“There’s a reason for that, sir. You’re not any good at it.” I pushed him back. I then gave him a smirk. “Maybe if you’re a good little blueberry today with Himley, I’ll reward you.”

His eyes swept over me, giving me a voracious grin as he did. “You just have to promise you’re not teasing me.”

“No, sir, never,” I scoffed. “That’s too much work when I can just dangle a string in front of you and keep you entertained.” I leaned back over him, placing my fingers under his chin. “You’ll need to do what I ask to find out.” I slipped away right as he was leaning in to kiss me again.

“You get off on feeling bigger than me, don’t you?” he turned to his coffee again.

I smirked to myself. “One of us has to.” I gathered his dirty laundry from the floor. “Be good today!” I scolded him before I left.

Himley was one of Lutwidge’s biggest customers, although he was not so fun to deal with. He was kind of creepy, which made doing business with him have an uncomfortable edge to them. He always arrived early, which meant we had to deal with him for much longer.

“Hello, Dulcie.” He greeted me brightly as he came through the doors. “It better not just be you today.”

“I’m hoping for the exact same thing.” I followed alongside him down the hall. “Lutwidge should be joining us today.”

Himley clapped his gloved hands together. “Excellent. I’m starting to think the old man doesn’t like me.” he looked down at me, his smile as sharp as a blade, and his eyes holding unspoken threats. “Wouldn’t that bother you?”

“I would prefer it, if I am being honest.” I led Himley to the meeting room. The room was done all in blue, which Lutwidge claimed made him the single most thought on everyone’s mind.

“I do have something very special to share with you and Lutwidge today.” Himley took the seat at the head of the table. Even though it was Lutwidge’s spot, he always took it. “Something I think will interest you and Lutwidge very much.”

I looked up from my planner. I did not like the sound of that, not from the likes of Himley anyways. “I thought you were buying today.”

“I am, of course. But I can show off a little bit, can’t I?” He leaned onto the table, smiling at me. “But it won’t do any good without Lutwidge here.”

The doors opened then and Lutwidge let himself in. “Himley, old sport. Where have you been hiding?”

Himley sat back to look at Lutwidge. “You’re the one who seems to be hiding, old friend. I can’t even recall the last time I saw you!”

Lutwidge took a seat, sweeping his bottom half around the legs of the chair. “I bet if you think very hard, you can recall.” He then looked over towards me. “But enough with fond memories, what shall you be needing this time?”

“Nothing much has changed really.” Himley reached into his jacket. “I’ll be ordering the same as usual. But this time, I do have something for you.” he laid a vial upon the table that was filled with a tar-like substance. It was black, but the light showed a rainbow sheen.

Lutwidge took a handkerchief and picked it up. He looked over it incredulously, curling his upper lip. “What is this?”

I watched Himley mainly out of curiosity. His expression was normal, but there was a glint to his eyes that tied my stomach into knots. “It’s something I have discovered.”

Lutwidge turned his dubious gaze in front of the vial to Himley. “I did not know you were looking for anything.”

“You would be surprised, Lutwidge. But there, in that vial, is something very special. Something, I believe, could change the course of your Catalog forever.”

A surge went through my chest. I could not sort out exactly what it meant, but I could see on Lutwidge’s face he felt the same way. “What is it?” I asked plainly.

Himley’s wicked little smile grew. “Truth.”

Lutwidge guffawed suddenly. He laughed hard, setting the little vial aside. I looked between him and Himley, still uncertain how to feel.

“Why are you laughing?” Himley leaned onto his elbow. “What do you find so funny?”

Lutwidge snickered and giggled for a while longer, wiping tears from his eyes. “Because truth cannot be bottled! It is not love or fear. I do not deal with concepts, Himley.” He picked up the vial. “You say you captured truth in it’s distilled form? How?”

Himley’s smirk continued. “I’m not telling you. That’s the whole point. I have a way of extracting it, and I’m going to keep that secret for myself. I will gladly sell you my product, maybe even trade for it.”

I glanced down at the box which contained Himley’s usual purchase.

“Oh no,” Lutwidge laughed. “I can see your game, Himley. But I am not playing that at all. How can I trust this?” he tossed the vial about between all six hands.

“Why not try it.” Himley motioned to the vial. “See what it does for you. I will gladly give you that sample. But after that, you will have to pay.”

Lutwidge scoffed. “Make your purchase and leave, Himley. This is utter nonsense! Truth, bah! I have more of a chance of turning myself pink than of you being able to bottle the truth!”

Himley reached into his jacket again and pulled out his money which he laid on the table before me. I took it and started counting. “Don’t you dare change a hair for me, old friend.” Himley stood up and, once I had the money counted, I passed him the box of vials. He opened it, looking it over then shutting it. “Besides, pink is not your color.” He points to the vial of truth in Lutwidge’s hand. “I will be waiting to see how you enjoy it. Maybe we can work much more closely from here on out.”

Lutwidge tossed the vial to me. “Dispose of this, Dulcie.”

I stood up to see Himley out, taking the vial and placing it inside my pocket. I walked Himley to the door and, as I opened it, he stood before me, staring me down with a serious expression.

“I know you’re the real brains behind this whole operation.” He waved his hand about. “Do not get rid of that vial. Try it, see for yourself what it can do.” He pointed down the hallway. “I know how much Lutwidge enjoys his hookah. Why not slip some of it into there to flavor it.”

I bowed my head. “Thank you for the gift, Himley.”

He chuckled. “Until I hear from you, which I hope will be soon.” Himley left and I closed the door behind him.

I went back down the hall to collect my things from the meeting room. I laid out the notes I had taken during the meeting, and I would transcribe them later for the records. Lutwidge was sitting at the table, and I knew he was waiting for me.

“Can you believe him, Dulcie? Trying to con me to get free emotions on tap!” He scoffed and rose from his chair. “Truth,” he spit.

“Not all of us can be so clever, sir.” I closed my planner. “Would you like your lunch in the lounge or your room today?”

Lutwidge looked at me and licked his lips. “Why not here?”

I took a breath through my nose and stood straight, placing my planner under my arm. “Do you think you were a good enough blueberry for that, sir?”

“I think I did better than good. I think I was wonderful.”

I walked around the table to him. “At least you’re thinking.” I stood behind him, placing my hands upon his shoulders. “Why don’t you go to your room? It’ll be much nicer there.”

Two of his hands twist back and grab me by my hips. “I want it here.” His hands kneaded into my hips, slowly moving back and digging into my ass. “It’s much more exciting.”

I leaned closer to him, pressing my lips against his ear. “That’s not good blueberry behavior.”

Lutwidge took his hands back and he rose from the chair. “I suppose the lounge will do,” he huffed.

“Good, because I would like to put these things away first.” I followed him to the door. “Just be patient.”

Lutwidge sniffed. “I’ve been patient all day. I’ve been patient for a while! Hurry and bring that viper tongue; if I could, I’d detach it and keep it as a pet.”

I smirked. “Did you come up with that yourself? Just keep thinking about it, maybe you’ll be half done by the time I get back.” I strut down the hall, going to my room where I put my things away. As I was putting my planner into its spot, the vial fell from my pocket.

I picked it up, watching as the thick substance inside stuck to the sides. While it looked dark, the rainbow effect it held made it seem bright as well. “Curious.” I sat it upon my desk and watched it. “I wonder-” I opened up the vial and I dipped my quill into it. Sealing it back shut, I then scribbled a quick sentence upon my planner. “Lutwidge is pink.” I then moved my quill back, and instead the page read “Lutwidge is blue.” I held my breath, surely this was a trick. I tried it again, and again it spelled out the truth.

“Curiouser and curiouser,” I murmured in awe. I opened the vial again, using a needle from my sewing kit to take the tiniest sample. I then went to the lounge where Lutwidge was waiting. He was already by his hookah and blowing out green smoke.

“Would you like me to refresh that for you?” I asked as I walked in.

Lutwidge placed the nozzle back. “I suppose. These were yesterday’s remnants.” I refilled the hookah, tapping the needle into the liquid flavor he enjoyed. I then stepped back, watching him as he took the nozzle back.

Lutwidge noticed me staring and a sneer curled his upper lip. “What are you staring at?” He blew out a cloud of lavender smoke.

“The same thing I have been for far too long, sir.” I came closer to him, kneeling down upon the pillows with him. I opened up his jacket, his shirt, and smoothed my hand down his bare chest. “Never you worry, you’re getting what you earned.”

Lutwidge placed one hand upon my hip, and another upon my cheek. He kissed me as my hands went lower, going down his stomach then to the lowest part of his torso. There was a mound there that opened the more aroused he became. The two of us have played these games for as long as we have known one another. Being a Rabbit, I have always had certain urges that needed to be fulfilled, and Lutwidge, having such deep hunger, also had desires he wanted met. The two of us simply fit those needs, and together we were able to maintain a strange balance. It had all become part of our game.

I kissed him hard, even biting his lower lip. His four eyes narrowed and he smirked at me. His hand on my hip moved down, groping my ass and even hiking up my skirt. “You think I’m so easy, don’t you?”

“You're a picture book, sir, anyone can read you, especially children.” I kissed him again, feeling his fingers prodding between my cheeks. I was waiting for the truth to take effect, maybe it needed some time unlike the pen and paper.

Lutwidge pushed my head down, and I kissed his chest and stomach, moving myself slowly. He took another puff from the hookah, slowly exhaling as he watched me. Did the truth not work when smoked? Perhaps I didn’t use enough of it.

“Dulcie,” Lutwidge moaned as I kissed that mound. It had started to blossom, and from inside he grew. “Dulcie, I-” he moaned.

I looked up at him, pressing kisses around the mound. “What is it, sir?”

Lutwidge bit his lip, his eyes looked glossy and heavy lidded. I dipped down again, licking the dark blue tip that emerged from within. I kissed the second one as well, urging both to emerge from inside. They were sticky and wobbly, still growing as I took one into my hand while licking the other.

“Dulcie, I...I-” His voice sounded fluttery, almost dizzy.

I flicked my eyes up towards him, watching him being so squirmy. Usually he didn’t react this way until he was close to finishing, but I had only barely started.

“Those eyes,” he moaned. “Those perfect ruby eyes.” He clutched a hand around his mouth. “Don’t look at me like that! It does too much to me.”

“What?” I lifted up my head. “I beg your pardon, sir?”

“I love it when you call me that,” he moaned.

I looked down at the two shafts, both of them are hard and throbbing. Sure, he does get a bit dramatic during sex, but this is different. I dip down again, licking the tip of one shaft while I stroke the other in my hand.

“Yes! Like that! Oh, Dulcie!” A hand grabbed the back of my head and collected a fistful of my hair. I did enjoy it when he pulled my hair, so I started getting into it. I took one shaft into my mouth, letting it go all the way back to my throat.

“Dulcie!” Lutwidge cried out. “Oh gods! Oh gods! I love you! I love you so much!”

I gagged upon hearing those words. I sat up like a shot, drool dribbling down my chin and neck. Both of us looked at one another with horror and confusion. Lutwidge’s mouth hung open, all four eyes had opened up wide. He took a breath and made a whimpering type of sound. I opened mine and Lutwidge pushed me off him and he ran from the lounge, slamming the door shut behind himself.

I rose up from the pillows and wiped my mouth. Looking at the hookah I saw a rainbow shimmer building in the glass. “Curiouser and curiouser,” I murmured. “The truth works.”

Comments

Curiouser and curiouser indeed. I wonder where Himley's "stash" of this truth has come from.
