Female Reader x Male Monster
Ever since you were a prepubescent girl, several lessons were beaten into you - lessons such as the power of friendship, the importance of light, the strength in love, and how the greatest power of all comes from inside you. As a kid, you believed in them, especially since you were chosen by the stars to receive the power of the gentle cosmos. Being a magical girl, when you were a girl, was all about positivity and purity versus darkness. Now as an adult, there is a lot more grey in the black and white you grew up with.
You have a job now, besides still using your magical abilities for justice and all that bullshit. Even your magic guardian seems to have gotten lazier and lazier over time, and they mostly just sleep and stay in their diminutive form. Your supposed ‘true love’ is also more lackluster than you would like. Now that you’ve gotten older and see the world through a different lens, you’re rethinking a lot of things.
Learning your childhood rival and next door neighbor was actually the reincarnation of the love of your life was great once. But you died at sixteen years old in your previous life, so how was that one guy your true love? You weren’t even the same person anymore! And he hadn’t been the dreamy hero he used to be when you were younger. Nowadays he seems to have forgotten how special your love really is, using you for a rent-free space while he tries to make his internet startup happen. He drains you of energy and money, and now you have no patience for him.
It’s surprisingly easy to break up with him and kick him out, and he seems to remember that you two were fated for one another a little too late. Fate was not enough to bind you two together. And for the first time since you were twelve, you’re alone, and it doesn’t bother you one bit.
“This place is quiet without Darius around,” Chalcedony yawns from his spot on the windowsill. In his diminutive form he looks like a mix of hamster and moth - very fluffy, round, and almost liquid, with poofy antennae and small wings. His regular form is much more grand, resembling a sleek cheetah-angel. He rarely takes that form anymore.
“The place stays quiet and clean, smells good, and I can actually put out my things,” you sigh with triumph. “Isn’t it wonderful?”
Chalcedony gurgles and flops back down. “So now that you’ve kicked out your one true love, what’s the plan?”
“Oh, I’ve been thinking it over.” You kick back on the sofa and prop your feet up on the table. “I don’t mind being a single gal for a while, but I’m feeling a bit… what’s the word?”
Chalcedony sits up, looking like a loaf. “You want to spread your wild oats?”
You beam at him. “Along those lines, yeah! I want to do something crazy, something I’ve always had in the back of my mind.”
Caldechony’s usually-lidded gaze widens. “If you’re thinking what I’m thinking, you sure that’s a good idea?”
You sigh wistfully. “The more I think about it, the more I want it, especially during those last few months with Darius,” you say with a slight pout. “Sometimes it was the only way I could manage to get off.”
Chalcedony grimaces. “You and I share a deep bond, and you’ve always confided in me what lingers in your heart. I thought for sure you’d grow out of this fascination with monsters.”
The smile on your face grows, and your cheeks bloom red as you cup your face. “They’re just so much hotter than regular guys!”
Chalcedony sighs heavily. “You’ve always been such a strange girl. I was hoping you’d someday turn into a proper young woman, but I suppose we just get stranger with age. So, you want to fuck a monster to get over Darius.”
“No, I want to fuck a monster because I’m over Darius. I’m sick of pretending that I haven’t met monsters who are better people than some I’ve been around. That I’ve spoken to supposed enemies who have good points.” Having fought monsters since your adolescence, it was always a struggle to do battle with them and not kiss and flirt. “I want a monster for a boyfriend this time. Not even a boyfriend. I would settle for a monster booty call.”
“You do realize most monsters out there don’t exactly trust magical girls,” Chalcedony grumbles. “They wouldn’t give you the time of day. They’ll be afraid you’d evaporate them with your wand.”
“I know.” Flopping back against the couch, you sigh heavily. “You know who I always thought was handsome?”
“I do and I hate that I do,” Chalcedony growls.
“Dark Lord Lycoris was such a hunk. I think I had my first wet dream about him,” you reminisce dreamily.
“Please. There’s only so much therapy I can afford,” Chalcedony whines. “He’s probably still in his dark fortress.”
Your last fight with Dark Lord Lycoris ended mercifully. All his forces had deserted him in fear of your team’s approach, and he tried to fight you on his own. His power was immense and frightening, but your gentle cosmic power was able to hold him back. He surrendered, and you, being young and possibly naive, offered him mercy. You sealed away his powers and told him to be courageous and grow. You cringe at the speech you left him with, just as you cringe at everything you said during your magical-girl prime. “Maybe we should pay a visit,” you say with a smirk.
“What is this ‘we’ bullshit?” Chalcedony grumbles.
You get up and sigh. “Fine. I’ll just go on my own. You used to be such a wonderful companion. What happened to you?”
Chalcedony flops back over and relaxes in the sunlight. “You grew up.”
It’s true. The older you get, the less Chalcedony’s advice and wisdom are needed. He was made to train a girl, not a woman. You order takeout, giving Chalcedony his order and taking the rest to your room. It feels so empty without all of Darius’ clutter. You take your magic wand and stare into the holographic crystal within. “Okay. I don’t feel like doing the whole spiel, so can I just concentrate and you take me to Dark Lord Lycoris’ castle?”
The crystal stays dormant. You pout. “I don’t want to do the little dance and chant! It’s so stupid!” You shake the wand. “Come on, you gentle cosmos! Just do what I ask!”
The crystal doesn’t respond. “Ugh!” You throw your head back and huff. “Okay, fine.” You take a pose, spreading your legs into a wide stance and holding the wand above you. “Gentle cosmos! Grant me your power!” The crystal glows. “Give me the energy of the divine, the love of your warm embrace! Wrap me in the ribbons of my destiny!”
The crystal vibrates and shines, casting beams of light over you. “Take me beyond the stars! Show me the way to what I seek!” The light wraps you up in ribbons, lifting you off the ground, spinning and tossing you until you're clothed in your magical girl uniform. “Shoot me to the beyond!” You blink away from your room and shoot through the sky, twinkling as you go.
You land on the surface of the forbidden star where Dark Lord Lycoris once reigned. Before his arrival, it was an oasis that belonged to your past self, and while it has maintained its beauty, it’s overgrown and wild. The castle is enveloped in vines and wild moss. You approach, and see that the grand entrance that was once shrouded by red glass is now a garden full of vegetables and fruit. The glass has all been replaced by vines, tumbling through the ceiling like a waterfall. “Interesting,” you murmur to yourself.
“You must be joking.” You turn at the sound of the exhausted voice, and see a tall figure draped in a black hood. “I must still be having that nightmare,” the deep voice rumbles.
“Long time, no see.” You hold up the bag of takeout. “Wanna talk?”
The figure grumbles and mutters under his breath. “It’s been a long time, Child of the Cosmos. What the fuck are you doing here?”
You lower the offering of food. “I dumped my boyfriend.”
The figure sighs heavily and pushes away his hood, revealing a chrome helmet. “I’m far too exhausted for this.”
Once upon a time, Lycoris was a powerful wizard in your royal court. His advice was constantly ignored by your parents, so he left, finding ways to grow his own power and assemble his own court. He’d been a constant source of strife for your past family, so your father had him cursed. The once-handsome wizard was turned into a monster, but that only strengthened Lycoris’ resolve to show the royal family of the stars what they were missing. He wore the chrome helmet to hide his face, and prove that appearances mattered not in his court.
You look over the helmet, which has a smooth visor, save for etchings in the shape of jagged teeth where the mouth should be. You figured after all this time he would take it off. “I can come back another time,” you offer.
“Another…” Lycoris scoffs. “I’m still confused as to why you are even here in the first place, child! You seal my powers and leave me here, with some damn notion that I will somehow grow from the experience, and now you come back?”
“I’m not a child anymore!” you protest. “Which is why I’m here.”
He sighs heavily. “So, you dumped the boy-toy, huh? Always hated that shtick.” He leans on the railing. “Before I even consider letting you into this place, you’re going to tell me why exactly you are here. If you’re at all vague, I will not allow you in.”
“I want to go over what happened the last time we met. I have a lot of regrets about my adolescence. I was told a lot of half-truths, and I’ve personally sacrificed a lot to keep up this life. I’m tired of it. I want to talk to you as an equal, not as an enemy. I’ve brought food to start.” You muster up your courage. “I also have an unrequited crush to confess.”
Lycoris snorts and drops his head as he begins to laugh. “Well, now. What a surprise.” He rises up straight, taking the posture he used to hold. “A crush? On silly old me? I’m flattered.”
“I’m serious. Just let me come in and explain.”
He scratches under his chin. “You’ve freshly broken up, you’re confessing a crush, you have takeout food... You’re rebounding. You want to fuck me, don’t you?”
Your face turns bright red. “Not now! I… I just wanted to talk! Feel out if maybe…” You sputter.
Lycoris laughs heartily, slapping the railing. “Wouldn't this be the final nail in your father’s coffin, cosmos child?”
You frown deeply. “Can I just talk to you?”
He sighs heavily, and a nearby palace door opens. “You are lucky I am bored. Hurry up.”
You quickly run up the stairs, to the landing where Lycoris is standing. He walks away down a corridor which opens into a library. All the shelves are bare, and only a handful of books remain. Lycoris plops into a chair like Chalcedony does in the window, and the fire in the fireplace is small, warming the area up just enough. You take the chair across from him, and a table rises from the floor. “Can you take off that ridiculous getup? Aren’t you a bit old for it?” Lycoris snatches the bag of takeout from you and unloads it onto the table.
You press a button on your wand and the uniform vanishes, leaving you in comfy jeans and a slouchy sweater. “It wouldn’t let me come here without it.”
“I suppose there is humor there. Of course your family would stick to such rigid details.” He opens a carton of orange chicken and he stabs a sharp fingernail into it, skewering a couple of chunks.
“It’s annoying these days. It used to be fun as a kid.” You tuck your hair behind your ear. “What about you?”
“What about me?” Lycoris lifts the helmet’s mouthpiece, and for the first time ever you see a part of his face. His jaw is quite square, and his wide mouth opens like a bear trap, displaying sharp silver teeth and a long pink tongue.
“It’s been about thirteen years,” you murmur shyly. “What have you been doing?”
“Surviving, as you put it,” Lycoris says between bites of chicken. “It is courageous to survive,” he mocks you. “I exist, cosmos child. What does that mean?”
“I didn’t know anything back then. I shouldn’t have had the responsibility or powers I did. I thought showing you mercy would end the cycle.” You fiddle with a container of food. “I just want to apologize.”
He clicks his tongue against his teeth. “Then tell me about this crush. Is that why you went soft on me?”
You lick your lips and have to laugh. “Well, maybe. It’s something I’ve kept secret since I was first starting out as a magical girl.”
“Even while you were with the boy?” Lycoris says with a smirk.
You nod in agreement. “I like monsters.”
Lycoris laughs. “Say it again.”
“I like monsters,” you murmur more shyly. You play with your hair, twisting it around your finger. “Maybe more than humans.”
“And is that why you broke up with the boy? To pursue this interest?”
You shake your head. “I broke up with him because I didn’t like him anymore. He wasn’t exactly a good boyfriend, and I wasn’t a good girlfriend either. I decided letting go would be better in the long run for both of us.”
Lycoris sighs and leans forward. “So you’ve come here to make amends to me? Or are you more selfish than that?”
“Both?” You wince.
He chuckles smugly. “So you came here to get a taste of what a real man can offer you?” he says tauntingly.
“Maybe?” Your voice cracks.
“Your mother had similar predilections, you know.” He leans back into his chair, chomping down on a few more bites of food. “It used to drive your father mad.”
“I don’t need to know that,” you grumble.
“Back before your father cursed me, I could have had anyone I wanted in your family’s court. I had my fair share of affairs, men and women alike. But when your father cursed me, I turned away from such vain notions as appearance. I gave myself fully to my goals and what I wanted to build. It’s been a long time since I’ve heard any sort of confession. So indulge me, if you’re so sorry, and confess your affections.”
“It’s been a long time,” you reply. “I don’t even know if the image I have in my head still exists. But I suppose I could go from there.” You rub your knees as you build up the courage to push through your embarrassment. “Darius was always really thin and lithe,” you murmur.
“I don’t want to hear about him,” Lycoris scoffs.
“No, no,” you shake your head. “I’m building to it, just let me talk.” You give him a faint smile. “I always liked that you had big arms, strong legs and…” You clear your throat to cover what you say next.
“I’ll throw this rice at you.”
“Your butt!” you blurt. “I liked that you had a very noticeable… butt.”
Lycoris’ smile grows and he licks the corner of his mouth, looking almost seductive. “I was much more in shape back then. I’m afraid I may be a bit thicker than you remember.”
“I’m not the petitie thing I was either.” You lift up your shirt, showing him the paunch under your high-waisted yoga pants. “We eat to hide our feelings, I guess.” You tuck your shirt back down.
“Keep going about me.”
You swallow and laugh. “I don’t know! I can’t exactly put the rest of it into words. I can’t say why my attraction to you was so strong. Maybe it was my own girlish naivete. Attraction to power and the idea of changing a man. I just know that sometimes when Darius and I had sex, I would think about your hand around my throat and…”
Lycoris slams his palm down on the table, and you fall silent. “You have fantasies about me? This goes beyond a crush, cosmos child.”
“I suppose,” you murmur.
Lycoris chuckles darkly and opens another container of food. “I must confess, the idea of taking my former enemy in such a hedonistic way is appealing, even arousing. I am lonesome, mind you. I rarely see a soul here, and I don’t have the powers I used to. I can’t leave this place. I am vulnerable, you see.” He grins and licks his lips again.
Your face burns as you look at him. “I’m frustrated,” you confess. “All my life I’ve been told I’m this, and I’m that, and I’m meant to be here or there, and this is how things should go. And I’m tired of it.”
“So this is your version of rebelling? Interesting. In a way, I’m flattered you would choose me.”
“I know this is stupid and a little reckless, but if anyone understood what this feeling of being bound all your life to the same fate is like, I thought it would be you.” You face him, keeping a stern, honest look on your face. “Yes, I came here to rebel, to claim an ounce of control. Yeah, it’s selfish. Yeah, it’s stupid. And you have every single reason to hate me after all this time. But I need something.”
Lycoris tilts his head back as his smile becomes something dangerous-looking. “I’ll give you something now if you want it so badly. But you have to work for it.” He opens his robe, exposing his body. His skin is various shades of green, with the striations of exposed muscle. There are dark marks along his body where tentacles would emerge when he increased his power. He’s gotten a little heavier since you last saw him, his middle softer and his thighs plumper. “Kneel before me, cosmos child,” he whispers.
You bite your lip and look him over, gazing between his thick thighs. “I get it.” You hold back a laugh. “You want me to suck your cock?”
“You’re astute.” Lycoris points to the floor. “If you want to relieve your frustrations, you’re going to have to show me you’re serious. Consider it your apology for telling me to be courageous.”
“Hey, I hated that stupid speech too,” you huff as you get onto your knees.
Lycoris chuckles. “I like this view.” He rests his arms and grips the chair as he watches you. “Be prepared, it’s been quite a long time for me. I don’t know when I will explode.”
You push open his legs a little more to gain access. You feel excited, never having touched adick beside Darius’ before. You always imagined what Lycoris’ endowment might look like, so you feel quite giddy to meet the real thing. “Joke’s on you. I like doing this.”
He grins. “Do you, now?”
You take his cock into your hand to look it over, and it’s quite hefty even half-hard. It bulges at the base, and small nubs jut out the sides. The head looks like it has two small horns as it begins to peek from the foreskin. You stroke him gently, looking up at him as his breath shudders. “Impressive,” you remark.
“Is it?”
“Trust me,” you giggle. “This is a wonderful treat for me.”
Lycoris’ hand grasps the back of your head, smashing your face against him so his shaft rubs against your cheek. He laughs, then moans as you fought back with your tongue. You lick and kiss his scrotum, managing to lift your head enough so you can see him again. If his thighs crushed your skull, you’d be happy. His cock is getting harder, longer, so you kiss along the shaft and press your palm against his thigh, moving it up to touch his stomach and chest. He feels warm all over, growing hotter the more you touch him. The deep greens of his body begin to change, shifting to cool blue tones and even pink. Veins glow beneath his skin, rippling down to his groin. His shaft shimmered, and the head glows as it emerges from the foreskin. You lick it, feeling the warmth against your tongue. “You’re actually quite pretty,” you giggle.
Lycoris growls under his breath and knots his fingers in your hair, pulling and making you moan against him. Darius never cared for any dramatics or fantasy, he just wanted to get off. Maybe Lycoris does too, but at least he’s indulging in the theatrics of it all. You take him into your mouth, as much of him as you can, wrapping your fist around what doesn’t fit. He moans, throwing his head back as hearches from the chair. You’ve become aroused from all this, the newness, the excitement. You’ve not wanted to pleasure someone so much in so long. You bob your head, slowly at first.
“Fucking hell,” Lycoris moans. “You’re so good at this.”
You look up at him, catching his eyes. He shudders, jerking, and releases into your throat, on your tongue, over your lips and cheeks. Then he pulls out, almost overwhelmed. His whole body is glowing pink. You choke for a second, gulping him down, then touching the mess on your face. It’s so much semen.
Lycoris falls back in his chair, panting as he covers his mouth with his hand. He looks at you and chuckles. “Well, that proves it. I accept your apology.”
“And?” You use the hem of his robe to wipe off your face.
Lycoris holds up three fingers. “Much like the magic genie, I’ll give you three wishes. After that, you will leave me alone again.”
You stand up and smooth your hair away from your face. “Only three?”
“Be grateful I’m giving you that, cosmos child. This is my revenge and your rebellion. It can’t last forever.”
You lean down, placing a soft kiss on his cheek. “When can I come back?”
He scoffs. “Later. I’m not the young man I used to be.”
And so you began an affair with your former enemy.
