Week 318! (Page 475 Script)

THIS MARKS PAYMENT FOR THE WEEK OF 9/6-9/12.

Second script update for the month, it's for page 475.

To continue on from the previous page and update post, with the further explanation on the conspiracy group's motivation in "creating" Kale and intending to do the same thing to everyone else, as well as Kale and Fox Kale's many issues being brought up, this page sort of combines those topics and elaborates on how this relates to them currently wanting to kill/erase/delete Fox Kale from Kale's mind.

If their intent is to try and use this process on more people in the future, it follows that they wouldn't want any mistakes or flaws to be present, to minimize risk and problems. They're trying to successfully recreate the human race, after all, it doesn't do them any good if all those humans they want to come back also happen to come out with irreparable damage to their minds and psyches.

This would explain their doggedness in pursuing and eliminating Fox Kale, something that they consider equivalent to a disease plaguing the "real" Kale's mind from being healthy. They need to either get rid of it or learn how it can be gotten rid of in the future so they can prevent it from happening again. If they can't "fix" Kale, though, they would have to basically scrap the entire "project", which obviously results in the loss of Kale's life but also, for them, all that time and effort spent making him, providing for him, observing him, and keeping him hidden from the world at large. The various members probably view this from a multitude of angles. Cyrus, Kale's adoptive father, was shown visibly tearing up at the possible future end of his son. Max doesn't have the same closeness as Cyrus does, but he's still been shown to be mournful and depressed over things. Hugo probably does have some amount of genuine care for Kale, but it's overridden by his hatred of the anthro form and wanting this project to succeed. And finally, whatever other certain members of the group are likely to just view Kale as another step in their very long running plan, and any regret over having to remove Kale if need be would likely be more from a standpoint of wasted time and resources, having to delay the recreation of humanity even more to start over.

And, well, the comic page also clearly shows how rage-inducing this is to Fox Kale, that this horrible thing done to him without his consent is going to be done to even more people in the future. Just a tiny seed planted that maybe Fox Kale, who has been entirely self-centered so far in his motivations, might have a bit more motivation outside of himself as well now.
