This picture premiered at the Eurofurence 25 artshow.

Here's a picture that shows how opposites can clash in terms of drawing: Originally, the Eurofurence artshow is a chance for me to go all out. To try and create art pieces that I put all my energy and effort into. It is a way to prove to myself that I can finally turn ideas into pictures that I have had for years.

With the recent artshows however, this approach has taken its toll. Last year I ended up working myself too hard and I ended up with wrist pains and stress. So instead of trying to push myself to the brink, I wanted to go with a different approach.

I would try to focus on the idea and not the execution. Sometimes I feel that my art style is just not "enough" and needs to be more elaborate, more detailed and more thought out. So to come back from that way of thinking to a point where I can be satisfied with my "regular" art style, was the goal I had for this picture.

I've always been a huge fan of the artist Wookiee and his firefighter dalmatian pictures. I've always wanted to create something similar, but never thought I could do it. This year I finally had an idea for such a pic and wanted to give it a shot. And the final result is simple, sweet and sexy. It's not the most elaborate, most detailed picture I have ever done. But it is something I am happy with, and that's what's important to me. :3
