"It's a city of dreams. And I'm a big dreamer."
This picture premiered at the Eurofurence 25 art show.
It's a sequel to a picture I did last year, called "Dreams". Originally I didn't set out to create a follow up of a piece I did for the previous Eurofurence.
I started sketching out some ideas and I ended up liking the expression of the lion so much, that I wanted to expand on it. I realized that it would serve as a great sequel to the picture from 2018. But when the picture started taking shape, it ended up looking much more like a medieval/fantasy themed pic than cyberpunk.
It really had me in a spot of bother because I didn't want to just slap cybernetics on the character. So I instead tried to show his character growth in subtle details like his different mane, the scars on his body and also the cybernetic fingers that he had replaced. I think it works quite well and tells a bit of a story on its own.
After I had the character looking the way I wanted, I could move on to the background. Working on it was a lot of fun for me because I could use a lot of different company logos from all sorts of different media that I liked.
The finished picture is definitely something I am proud of and I'm glad that somebody liked it enough to purchase it. :3
Enjoy!
