I pretty much love the Middenheim vibes this guys give (through, in no small way, the Stark filter you mentioned). I would like some more slash and puff sleeves, but that's the old Averlander in me. Fantastic minis and a sure addition to my army!

Hi guys! I'll reply to all three of you at once.
For these troops, we're using Burgundy troops as a reference. It's a very rich region with well-equipped soldiers. We've given them a Stark filter, and we've also added some German-style slit sleeves to the archers. It's a bit more challenging for them since they wear padded jackets.
As for the knights, I believe they are noticeably heavyer. The knights are fully plated everywhere, but here, for example, the sleeves, back, and boots don't have plates.
I've always thought that Warhammer was missing an intermediate armor between light and full plate. A melee soldier shouldn't have the same level of equipment as an archer. And in a way, that's what we've tried to convey in almost all of our miniatures.

maybe Avernia is a wealthier city than others and decided to armor their troops better? =) I like them.
