Selkie Boyfriend: Fionn 2 (complete)

The aquarium is just outside of town, so it’s not busy. In fact, a few locals seem to be visiting just to get away from the hustle and bustle of the festival. You always liked the aquarium growing up, and even had a part-time job there during the summers home from school. It’s part conservatory as well, helping to rehabilitate marine life.

You’re sitting outside waiting for Fionn to get the tickets, contemplating why you’re here. It’s cold outside, and you’re wrapped up in sweaters and your leather jacket as well as Fionn’s hat. The hat stinks a bit, but it’s the only thing keeping you from being too cold.

“Got them!” Fionn comes up with the tickets. “Let’s get you inside before you freeze to death.” He holds out his hand for you to take.

“It’s been a while since I was last here. They’ve changed some things.” The landscaping has more trees and shrubbery now, planted to help the bees during the summer months.

“It’s really pretty when it’s in bloom.” Fionn keeps your hand in his, but you don’t protest. He’s way warmer than you.

The aquarium entrance is pretty nondescript, a lobby with chairs and benches and a TV playing scenes from inside the aquarium. Once the big blue doors open though, everything changes. The space opens up and the colors shift, and all around you there are tall glass walls filled with water and life. You gaze in awe, watching fish swirl about in their tanks. Some kids run along the glass, giggling as they chase fish. You slow your walk as you take it all in. Having been here countless times, it still takes your breath away.

“This was the first place I went with your dad when he took me in.” He looks through the water, gazing deeply inside. “It was the only place that calmed me down enough to listen.”

“I remember him being afraid you’d swim off if he took you into the ocean.” You give his hand a little squeeze. “I don’t think we went to the beach for a few months after you moved in.”

“I thought I could find him,” Fionn murmurs. “That he was out there.”

“Your dad?”

“That’s what I thought he was.” Fionn walks along beside you. “What I’m trying to say is, this place is kind of bittersweet for me. It’s the place I began to realize he was never coming back, but there was someone in my life who would. A whole family of them.” He smiles into the waters. “I think that’s why, even when the two of us fought, I still wanted to spend time with you. Because I knew you wouldn’t leave at the end of the day.”

“Where would I go?”

Fionn chuckles, and the two of you sit down across from the tank where old and rescued mermaids are housed. Right now, most are asleep, as they tend to become active later in the day. A couple of smaller ones are watching from the sand on the bottom, pointing and staring at you.

“You know, this morning I was thinking about our first time,” you say fondly.

Fionn groans. “Oh god, why would you ever want to remember that?”

“For the laughs.” You lean back and smile. “Whatever happened to that old pickup truck you had before the motorcycle?”

“Sold it to a classmate so I could afford the motorcycle.” Fionn smirks down at me. “Whatever happened to that guy I punched?”

“He got married, I think.” You tilt your chin up. “Man, that was a weird prom.”

Fionn puts his hand on your knee. “I prefer to remember that night long after that, when we went camping.”

You giggle, growing warm and blushing all over. “God, we could have gotten shot that night.”

Fionn leans down to you. “If someone could have kept quiet, then it wouldn’t have been an issue!”

You playfully shove him. “You wanted me to be loud. You kept teasing me.”

His arm slips around you. “Yeah, I did.”

Your heart is skipping beats. “I like how quiet it is here.”

“Want to go to the next exhibit, or stay here a bit longer?”

Standing up, you hold your hand out to him. “Let’s keep going.”

You take your time going through the rest of the aquarium, but you can’t ignore that you want to be alone with Fionn. Once you finish and the two of you are wandering around the gift shop, you’re flip-flopping about whether to invite him back to your place, although it is pretty close to the hive of festival activity. You find Fionn with a big bag at the checkout. He keeps the bag close to his body as he approaches you. “Ready to go?” he asks.

You point to the bag. “What did you get?”

“Eh, just something silly,” he says with a shrug. “C’mon, lets go get something to eat. I’m starving.”

You follow him as he heads to the door. “I have some food at my place.”

Fionn shakes his head. “My place is further out of town, it’ll be quieter there.”

Your cheeks burn. “Have you cleaned since I last saw your hovel?”

He gives you the eye. “At least I own my hovel.” He takes your hand again. “Unlike some people who have to rent.”

“Elitist,” you scoff.

Fionn’s home is an old fisherman’s cabin that has its own dock. He keeps a small, ancient-looking fishing boat at the dock that he takes with him when he swims. The cabin is smaller than your apartment, but it’s been a while since you’ve paid it a visit. Outside it has changed a lot, much more plant life than rubble and dry grass. He’s painted the cabin, a smoky sort of blue-gray that fades into the color of the ocean. He’s also added a porch that runs out to the start of the dock.

“Shit, you’ve done some work,” you marvel as you take it in.

“Now, don’t you feel bad for making fun of my hovel?” He unlocks the door and leads you inside. His bed is right against the back wall, under the large windows that face out over the water. His kitchen is off to the side, only a fridge and a cooktop. Other than that, everything has been restored and painted.

“It’s warm in here, at least,” you sigh with relief. Shedding layers, you toss your things onto a chair.

“You’re hellbent on being mean to me, aren’t you?” Fionn chuckles.

You smile. “You have a very lovely home. That view...” You walk towards the back windows, peering over his huge bed. “That’s everything.”

Fionn comes up behind you and presses something into the back of your head. As you turn around, a pair of beady black eyes looks into yours. A large stuffed seal is placed into your hands.

“It’s so cute and squishy!” you exclaim.

“I thought you would like it.” Fionn sits on the edge of the bed. “Sort of looks like me in my coat,” he chuckles.

You hug the seal close. “That’s adorable for someone like you.”

“I’m glad you like it.”

You look at Fionn sitting on the bed. “I thought you were hungry?”

He smirks. “Well, I could eat a smidge.”

You arch your eyebrows. “How long have you been sitting on that one?”

He breaks out laughing with a lovely grin and holds his arms open to you. “All fucking day. Now come here.”

You sit down in his lap, kissing him as you press into his chest. His warm hands sneak under your clothes to easily undo the clasps on your bra. “Hey now,” you fuss. “Who said you could do that?”

He raises both hands into the air. “Want me to stop?”

You push him down onto the bed and straddle his hips. “I want you to sit still for a moment. It’s been a while, big boy, and I have to warm up.”

He looks up from the bed and poses with his hands above his head. “You wanna tie me up?”

“No. I’ll need those hands later. Right now I want to figure out the terrain again.” You unzip his pants, and his underwear tents immediately. Gray hair curls up around the elastic waistband, reaching up his belly to his chest, where the hair spreads out like a field. His belly is plump, but his chest and arms are hard.

Fionn moans and bites his bottom lip as you gently touch and press kisses down his body. He exhales loudly, his body almost sinking into the bed. “Hurry up and kill me.”

“No,” you laugh. “I’m taking my time.” You reach down, grabbing his erection through his underwear. “This can wait.”

“Shit!” His back arches off the bed again.

“Oh, please, I grabbed it. How sensitive can you be?” You tug down his underwear, and his cock flops down onto his belly.

“Well, some things haven’t changed around here.” You raise your arms and strip off your shirt and bra, letting your breasts tumble out.

“Those look nice,” Fionn chuckles.

You toss your hair back and lean down, pressing your chest against his. You kiss his neck and gently bite, feeling him tense under you. He chokes back a moan, winching as your teeth drag down his skin. “You’re really sensitive,” you tease.

He grumbles and puts his hands on your hips. “So?”

You kiss his neck and cheek. “I enjoyed it back then, and I enjoy it now.”

His fingers sink into your plush thighs. “You were always so mean to me.” His hands move lower, kneading into your ass.

“You make it easy.” You lean down, biting and sucking his nipples.

His hands grope harder, sinking into your flesh before he moves them again. His fingers graze between your legs, finding you warm and wet for him. He moans as his fingers find purchase, rubbing against your plump, juicy lips.

“There,” you sigh.

His fingers sink inside, and he closes his eyes tight. “You still get so wet.”

“It’s honestly just a big mess.” You plant your hands firmly on his shoulders.

“Good thing I have big hands.” His fingers sink deeper, swirling around and then slowly pulling out. You whimper softly, watching him for a moment before you ease forward. You rub against his cock, letting your nectar coat every inch. You take your time, knowing he’s a lot to take in. You lie down beside him and hook your leg over his hip, and his hand guides his penis to your entrance. His other hand wraps around your waist and cups your breast in his palm.

“Just like old times,” he chuckles.

You look back and kiss him. “Only this time, we actually fit in the bed.”

Fionn moans as he slips inside. You whimper, having not taken his very large endowment in some time. You adjust your hips to get comfortable, but he’s already begun to move. He starts with shallow thrusts. It’s been so long, but it takes no time at all for you to feel young again. His hands, his body, the way he whispers into your ear, it’s all like it was. Yet it feels so much better than it did back then. You’re not rushed, you don’t have to worry about getting caught, it’s just the two of you. You’re able to raise your voice, move harder, rattle the bed a little.

You still bury your face into the pillow when your orgasm rushes upon you, melting your body into a slick, heavenly puddle. You sink into his bed, his arms, and he somehow still finds the strength to move. After a while, you rise from the mattress tousled, depleted, and satisfied. You stretch and your back pops.

“What year is it?”

Fionn sits up and kisses your shoulder. “We need to get ourselves together. The swim will be starting soon.”

“We shouldn’t have done this,” you murmur.

The happiness drops from Fionn’s face, and he looks near tears.

“No! No! I mean...” You start to laugh. “Not before the swim. I like that we did it, but I’m not going to be able to walk right!”

He nearly collapses. “You scared the shit out of me!”

“Sorry.” You kiss him as you giggle. “Help me find my clothes, and let's take a shower before we go.”

“So you just liked it?” Fionn asks as he hands you your shirt.

You shrug. “It was fine.”

Fionn holds your underwear away from you. “Fine?”

You stand up from the bed with what you have. “Adequate, even.”

Fionn grabs you and throws you back down onto the bed, pinning your arms above your head. “Take it back or I’ll tickle you.”

You smile up at him. “Where did you get that stamina from? I don’t remember you lasting so long before. You just about made it so I couldn’t walk at all.”

He grins and covers you with kisses. “I’ll tell you later.”

The two of you get dressed, and head out to the beach. Lukas is already in the water with the other selkies, but Owen is psyching himself up to go out into the freezing water. Before everything begins, Fionn shows you the ring that Lukas is going to give Owen when they get back on the beach.

It takes Owen a bit to go out into the water, but he’s not the last remaining on the beach. He swims out to Lukas, who wraps his selkie coat around him, and despite the distance you hear Owen scream and begin to cry. Once they come back on shore, Lukas gives Owen the ring. Your mother won’t stop taking pictures, and your dad is already tearing up. At home, there is a huge celebration. Fionn had champagne ready, and the family pops open the bottles.

Near the end of the night, you and Fionn take a moment alone outside. “So, after today, what’s going to happen?” he asks.

You smile up at him. “What do you think?”

Fionn’s hand slowly reaches out and cups yours. “Is your hovel clean?”

“Not at all.” You take his hand into yours. “I’ll need help cleaning it, though.”

“Oh, hell no. You make your mess, you clean it up.” He puts his arms around you and you snuggle against his chest. “I’ll buy you gloves, though.”

Owen and Lukas’ wedding is elaborate but small, and you had helped Lukas with almost everything, because he wanted to go bigger and grander with everything. Owen asks you to rein him in so they can have money savings for a honeymoon, and to put towards adoption in a few years. You dance with Fionn at the wedding, who gets his hair styled for the event. He looks like a towering god in the wedding party, having cleaned up extremely nicely in a tuxedo, and has to constantly escape grabby hands and photographs. The two of you happily drink champagne and share food. The air is warm and the ocean laps up onto the beach.

A year comes and goes quickly. The festival is fast approaching again, but thankfully, you aren’t living in that apartment close to the epicenter. It’s terribly cold this year too, and already it’s started snowing earlier in the week. The morning of the swim, it’s snowing too.

Standing on the beach, you’re wrapped up tightly in towels and blankets. Now the idea of plunging into that water seemed like a horrible nightmare come to life. “It isn’t so bad,” Owen says. “Knowing Lukas was out there last year, I just reminded myself the cold would only be for a moment before he wrapped me up in his coat.”

“You’re hot all the time! I’m cold all the time!” you fret.

“But Fionn is hotter,” Lukas teases.

You grimace and look out into the water, where Fionn was waiting. You sigh and drop your warm cocoon. Already you’re having second thoughts, but Fionn is all the way out there, and if you don’t swim out to him you’ll never catch him.

The water is awful and hitting it is worse than a cold shower. You nearly scream, but your voice chokes off in your throat. Luckily, Fionn rushes up to meet you and throws his warm coat around you.

“Not bad at all, is it?” he teases. “It's quite balmy out today.”

“Don’t!” You’re almost crying, it’s so cold.

Fionn kisses you and holds you tight. “It’s going to be alright. We’ve got the heated blanket and everything ready at home.”

Your teeth are chattering, and it feels they may shake loose from your head. “I wanna go home!”

Fionn kisses you. “I know. Just one second,” he whispers. “I love you.”

You sniffle and shiver. “Y-y-you t-t-t-too.”

Fionn hurries you up onto the beach, where you’re further wrapped up in warm, dry things. Once at home, you’re tucked into bed with a heated blanket, and Fionn lies beside you. After you get warm, you open your eyes and look at Fionn. His long hair spills over the pillows and over the edge of the bed. His skin looks soft to the touch, and it’s all yours.

You sit up in bed and take off his coat, laying it back over him. “Okay, then, it’s been a year,” you murmur. “Now what?”

Fionn breaks into a grin. “I think you know the rest.”
