Werewolf Boyfriend: Matteo (complete)

Having left Hearthway Hollow after high school, I wasn’t sure what coming back would be like. Sure, I come home often for holidays, but moving back and visiting are two different things. Things change, though, and after one too many changes for me, I decide going back home would be the best bet.

My family owns an antique store in town, and recently it’s expanded to the point where it’s incorporated a used book store, which I’ve taken over so my mother can focus on the accounting. The store is exactly what I need, and it helps me to get settled much more easily than I thought I would. Organizing the shelves, decorating and arranging puts my mind at ease. I also get to find some pretty interesting books as well.

Of course, like any bookstore, some of our most popular sellers are romance novels. I’ve set up a nice little nook just for romance novels, and occasionally erotica will slip in. Often I take these for myself, rather than keep them behind the counter for anyone interested in such things.

Lately we’ve been going through a rainy season, so in the sunny patches the store is packed. People are buying tons of books to read during the storms, but when the rain falls the shop is empty, so I just read.

One afternoon while it’s beginning to turn gray, a familiar face comes into the shop. It’s Matteo. I haven’t seen him since high school, and we lost touch midway through college. We had a bit of a thing back then, sort of on and off. Nothing dramatic or serious, we just sort of drifted in and out of each other’s circles. When we were together it was nice, and when we weren’t it was fine too. I always thought he was cute, but now he looks so much more masculine. He still had the same wiry frame and broad shoulders and storm-colored eyes, but now he wears glasses and even has a beard. When he sees me he breaks into the smile, the same crooked thing I remember.

“I heard rumors you were back in town. I’m sorry I didn't come by earlier to verify that.” He steps up to the counter and looks me over. Then he flinches and squints his eyes. “You do remember me, right?”

I chuckle and nod. “Of course I do, Matteo. It’s good to see you.”

I walk around the counter to give him a hug. His hugs have gotten better over time - he has some softness that makes him warm and cozy, and his arms have gotten strong too. He gives an extra squeeze before holding me back to admire me. “Madeline, you look great!”

“Oh stop,” I scoff.

“No, I’m serious.” He does that thing that used to drive me crazy in school, running his fingers through my hair. His fingers part my sea of curls and a smile spreads across his face. “You were always cute in school, but man, isn’t it nice to look like an adult?”

I giggle and bob my head. “Okay, I can give you that.”

Matteo’s fingers slip through my hair and he pulls his hand back. “So how long are you back home?”

“I’ve moved back, actually. My dad has given me grandma’s cottage, all I gotta do is clean it out and it’s good to go.”

“Then we need to catch up at some point!” He sounds excited. “I’d love to hear what you’ve been up to. I’ve not done much except help Pop run the theatre.”

I can’t help but smile as nostalgia washes over me. He used to let me sit in the projection room with him back when we were in an ‘on’ phase. “You still work at the theatre?”

“I don’t just work there, I run the damn thing,” he says proudly. “We just did some renovations on the place, you’ll have to come see it.”

“I’d like that.” I can’t stop smiling. There have been so many nice memories between Matteo and I, and it feels good to be around him again.

“You still got it,” he sighs.

My expression slacks a bit. “Got what?”

The light in his eyes becomes bright. “That smile.” He pokes his finger into one of my dimples, making me giggle.

I bite my lip to suppress a grin. “Give me your number.”

After trading numbers we get to talking a bit. He makes me laugh, and I make him coffee. After a while I begin talking about my grandmother’s cottage. The place has good bones, but after she passed away nothing was done with it. It’s basically stayed the same, because no one has had time to clean it out.

“Do you need any help?” Matteo asks. “Monday through Wednesday I’m free to do practically anything.”

I want to argue that it’s okay, I don’t need help, but to be honest I need it. Even for a small cottage it’s a lot of work. The place is dusty and full of grandmother’s stuff. “There is some heavy furniture I could use help to move. I have the bedroom cleaned out, but there’s a wardrobe in the closet I can’t get out on my own.”

Matteo flexes and pats his bicep. “You can count on me to get it.”

“I’ll make dinner. How about that?”

His smile grows. “Sounds great to me.”

Monday the bookshop is closed, so it’s a perfect opportunity. I go shopping in the morning to get something good to make for dinner. I’m excited to have Matteo to myself a little bit. It’s been ages since we were last together, but I feel like a giddy high school girl again. I clean up a few things, especially in the bedroom. I put the bed into the corner so it’ll be easier for Matteo to get the wardrobe out of the room. I clean the bathroom as well, and for some reason I hang up the nice towels.

Matteo arrives around three, dressed in a t-shirt and jeans. “Looks like it’s going to open up a flood later.” He looks up at the darkening sky.

“When isn’t it around this time of year?” I lead him to the bedroom. “The wardrobe is back here.” I motion to the closet then step aside for him to assess what to do.

“How’d she even get it in here?” He runs his hands over the wardrobe, then stands on tiptoe to see over the back.

“I’m not too sure about that myself,” I sigh.

“I hate to say this, but I need your help.” Matteo takes my vanity chair and stands on it, crawling up on top of the wardrobe before dropping down behind it.

“What are you doing?” I gasp. “I can’t have you dying back there! There’s too many dead raccoons in the attic as it is.”

“I have to angle it from back here. And not to worry, if I die in this house it’s not because I trapped myself back here.”

I sigh and shake my head. “You’re going to get stuck back there.”

“No I won’t. trust me.”

“Hard to trust you when it feels like I’m arguing with antique furniture.”

Matteo laughs heartily. “Wanna make a bet then, Maddie?”

I bite my lip. We used to do this in high school too. Often the wager was a kiss, or I’d have to show him my bra. Something stupid like that. “You’re on!”

“If I am right, you’re going to have to kiss me.”

I snicker and shake my head again. “And when I win, you have to show me your underwear!”

“You can do better than that!” He’s goading me on.

“Let’s wait for the ante when you’re desperate. What do I need to do?”

“Push it back. Then I’ll be able to angle it.”

After some maneuvering, he gets the wardrobe to go sideways and he slips out, a triumphant smile on his face. “See? Told you so!”

I look up at him with an arched brow. “Okay fine, you were right.”

His smirk grows. “And?”

I stand on tiptoe, placing a kiss on his cheek. “Your kiss.”

Matteo touches his cheek. “Not what I wanted.”

I wag my finger at him. “You never specified what kind of kiss. Now, I’m going to go start dinner. Just set that thing in the living room for now.”

“You got it, boss.”

I go off to the kitchen while he moves the wardrobe. I have him take care of a few other things, like loading up some boxes and taking them to the thrift store. Before he returns, the storm begins. The rain pours down, pelting the glass and hissing against the roof. Matteo comes in from the rain absolutely soaked. “I knew it was coming! But not like that.”

The steaks are done and I’m toasting the garlic bread. I already have towels prepared, and I even stuck them in the dryer for a minute. “Here, come sit down. It’s almost ready.”

“Thank you!” He buries his head in the warm, fluffy towel. “This is so nice.” He plops down at the old table and rubs the towel around his head.

I fix the plates and deliver them to the table. “What do you want to drink?”

“I’m good for now.” As he removes the towel his hair is tousled and fluffed up. “Just hungry.”

“I’ll get you a beer.” I turn to the fridge to grab him one of the chilled bottles.

Dinner is quiet, because the food is too good for talking. We chat lightly, catching up a bit on what has been going on with us. Our chat moves onto the sofa, which I had to remove the plastic from to make comfortable. He spies my stack of books, which I brought from the store to read.

“What’s this?” He smirks and reads over the title. “Oh my, erotica?”

I chuckle softly. “I’m surprised at how much comes into the shop.”

He opens the book to a random page. “His tongue was warm, wet velvet, penetrating my tight rosebud and indoctering me into the forbidden pleasure of my ass.” His brow arches. “Anal? Really?”

I try to grab the book from him, but he yanks it back. “It’s silly! It’s not even that good.”

He keeps reading. “I grew wet with the taboo idea that soon the idol of his manhood would penetrate the most forbidden door of pleasure in my body. He would know my every pleasure once this road was traveled. I knew there was no looking back, and in the dark recesses of my mind, I was already prepared to be unsatisfied with anything else.” He grins at me and wiggles his brows.

“Shut up.” I finally snatch the book back.

He leans in close to me. “That makes me remember prom night.”

I giggle. “The back of your pickup truck.”

“How I had to leave the cummerbund on because I couldn’t figure out how the fuck to take it off.”

He grins at me, and the space between us vanishes. His kiss is so much better than when we were teenagers. Outside the thunder roars, and the lights go off.

“I have candles in the bedroom,” I sigh. “I can go light some.”

“How romantic.” Matteo follows me into the bedroom. He leans in the doorway as I light a few from my vanity.

“Madeline...” He seems to want to say something, but he stops himself.  In the candlelight he looks so sexy, I’m speechless myself. I open my mouth to speak, but I am uncertain about what I want to say.

“I’ve really missed you,” he murmurs. “I mean...” He hesitates, then smiles. “I find myself thinking about you randomly. I know we weren’t ever serious in school, but I did like you. You were awesome.”

“You were too.” I take his hand and lead him inside. We sit on the edge of the bed and kiss again. He strips off his shirt, and I kick away my shorts. He begins to shift, turning into a werewolf. Much like that night after prom, only this time, he isn’t stuck in that cummerbund.

He runs his fingers through my hair, and his expression reminds me of our youth. “I love your hair.” He kisses me again. “I missed touching it.”

I reach into his lap, stroking the growing bulge in his jeans. “Touch is all you want. Touch anything.”

“You sure?” he growls in my ear.

I nod and stroke my hands down the tawny fur of his chest. “I’m sure you’ve got some new tricks to show me.” I smile shyly. “Besides, what else is there to do?”

He kisses me, then nibbles down my neck and shoulder. “I know some things. What about you?”

“I’ll show you mine if you show me yours.”

“Then let me get into position.” He lies down on the bed then taps the tip of his nose. “Come put those plump thighs around my head.”

The excitement bubbles like carbonation, ready to blow. “You sure?”

“Extremely.” He coaxes me over, holding my thighs as I lower down upon his face. His tongue presses against my panties, lapping over them before he pushes them aside. Warm, wet velvet isn’t what I would use to describe his tongue. It’s more wet than that, more slick. It’s hot too, and so strong. I grab hold of the board as Matteo growls and licks. His tongue pushes deep inside me, then moves back and caresses my ass. I grunt and moan, smiling to myself as he explores more.

Matteo pulls my hips forward so his tongue can better reach that ‘forbidden door of pleasure’. I rise to sit on his chest.

“What on earth are you doing?” I pant.

He looks apologetic. “Sorry, I thought you were into it?”

“I am.” I smirk down at him. “I just wanted to make sure we were on the same page.” I reach for my side drawer, opening it up and taking out a few supplies.

I tug down Matteo’s pants for him, and smile at his cock resting against his furry belly. “My, my, you certainly have matured.” I take him in my hand, stroking him slowly.

Matteo moans and shudders. “What do you plan to do to me?”

I lick him from glans to testicles, planting heavy, wet kisses to him. Then I put a condom on him. “I plan to take the idol of your manhood.”

Matteo snickers, grinning up at me. “I never knew you were into this.”

I slather lube over his shaft. “It’s my new trick.” I straddle him again, trapping him between my thighs before I lean back, rubbing his cock between my cheeks. I rake my hands through his fur, feeling powerful with this werewolf beneath me. I take him in my hand and slowly, carefully, take him inside. It’s a snug fit, but I stretch to take him. I reach down, rubbing my clit until he is completely inside me.

“Door of forbidden pleasure, huh?” he moans through a laugh.

I move slowly, watching his eyes, his body. He trembles, but his hands feel strong and sure on my thighs. He rubs  my clit for me and slips his fingers inside my folds. I’m filled up with him, and already I’m starting to lose my breath. I move a bit faster, and his hips respond, shaking as he thrusts from beneath me. I grip onto his fur. I realize too late I should have done this Sunday evening, because I won’t be of much use at work tomorrow morning.

I can feel him pulsing all around me, and the vibrations flow through me, rippling out like echoes. I throw my head back, crying out with his howl. I see stars, and slowly ease myself down onto the bed.

His warm fur wraps around me, and soft kisses pepper my skin. He slips down further, licking me and making me quake. He smiles with pride and lies on top of me, and I cling to him, smiling to myself.

A few days later, the rain has ended and the streets are shining in the sun. I’m going through a stack of donations when Matteo comes into the shop. My cheeks burn and my heart pounds. I haven’t seen him since the morning after the blackout.

“What are you doing tonight?”he asks.

I shake my head. “Nothing.”

“No, you’re not.” He gives me a soft kiss and runs his fingers through my hair. “I’m taking you out to dinner.”

I smile brightly at him. “You sure?”

He whips a bouquet of flowers from behind his back. “I would do a courtship on you, but I think we’re beyond that.”

I take the flowers, breathing in their sweet scent. “You want to court me?”

He wiggles his brows. “I did in high school, but I was chicken.” He kisses me again and grabs my curly hair into his fist. “What do you say?”

I break into a big smile. “Where are we going?”

“I have two ideas. Candlelit romantic meal at Ryker’s, or pizza and nachos between makeout sessions in the projection booth.”

I can’t help but laugh. “You are a true romantic, you know that?”

He kisses my forehead. “For you, I’ll be anything.” He gently pokes my dimple. “Besides, this has been a long time coming, and I’m finally brave enough to do it.”
