Hello everyone! We're back and happy to reveal our latest project, "CakeMix VR".
We've been working behind the scenes for a long time now getting really comfortable with VR development, and we've had this Patreon page on hold for a few months now while we laid the groundwork for this new project.
So, we've released the very first alpha build of the game, for patrons only right now. This first version is to show you what we've been working on, and give an idea of where we're going.
There's a lot more under the hood than shown here, but it still needs work before we put it out there. There are a lot of things being tweaked, like breast physics, touching, character editing, etc. and we'll keep updating builds as those things are worked on. This is just a taste so you can try it out and see what's what.
Please consider joining us, and spread the word if you like what you see so far! Because we've had our Patreon page on hold for several months now we've lost some patrons, and it would really help to get more players on board. So that's us pretty much saying the equivalent of "like and subscribe". We super appreciate the support.
CakeMix will focus on creating an adults-only interactive experience, with a heavy emphasis on character creation and player-made add-ons.
If you've played our previous game, Future Love Space Machine, you know that we love giving players the ability to create a massive variety of characters in all shapes, sizes, and flavors, and CakeMix will continue and expand upon that tradition.
CakeMix has been in early development for months now and is finally in a state where we can start sharing it, but keep in mind things are still very early, so not all 'quality of life' functions are in there yet. We're working hard on getting those in ASAP.
With CakeMix, we are developing it first and foremost as a character-based system. With that in place, with this game we want to hear what you want. If you have suggestions on what you'd like to see, there will be threads to share them in, and the ones that most people seem to want, that's what we'll focus on.
So what happens in CakeMix as we move forward will be very heavily player-driven. We aim to please, so let us know what you want!
CakeMix will make heavy use of VR. We've spent about a year now behind the scenes learning and experimenting with VR tech, and figuring out how to really make it shine. That's why our page has been on hold, while we got comfortable with this new direction.
There is also a desktop mode so if you don't have VR you can still have fun, but wow VR is super cool, just sayin'.
We've been testing the game on Quest2 headsets, and as we move forward, with your help, we'll tweak things to work well with as many setups as we can.
CakeMix is a PCVR game, meaning you will need to run it on your PC and use your headset in that mode. We are experimenting with Quest-native builds but right now the game only works on PC. You can connect it to your headset via cable or wi-fi, and we'll try to get instructions up soon if you need help with that.
We've tried to keep PC requirements low, and as a result, CakeMix will run on systems with a NVidia1070 GPU and up. If you have questions about compatibility just ask.
Please see the Patrons-only post next to this one for download links to both the VR and Desktop builds.
Thanks so much!
