Reopening subscriptions—Blog Update
Added 2025-03-20 23:52:52 +0000 UTCAs some of you may know, we have a leaker; it turns out no, we have multiple leakers in this account.
I will be real for just a second: The Patreon experience, while gratifying at a high level, is a HUGE headache; there are more users more stuff to worry about, and on top of that, what happened last week, and now I am at my limit. I was honestly considering, if not because of the Nina's Leap Game, I was just going to close it start over. The second leaker is an older user. I removed 3 users that were not the leakers and 1 that is a confirmed leaker.
I work very, very hard, creating the content; I will draw, cleanup, and train an AI (which is just expensive as hell, btw); the servers are expensive; this is expensive and hard to make, and this takes weeks of work. If it wasn't because it had this audience, I would not be doing it.
Solution
I've talked with a few of you, with fellow creators, and I decided to follow what some of my peers are doing, which is to have an external website with a speedy paywall. I will post one image and the rest host them myself, but there is some good to be had here.
Your Patreon login will grant you access to more images of a post; there is no need to do anything other than login with Patreon on that site.
Benefits
1) It will be FASTER than Patreon. I'm using the money here to pay for a faster server so you get images faster; that means navigating to it will open ALL images in less time than Patreon will show one or two. (that's the goal!)
2) No compression from patreon
3) And most important, full control.
When is the transfer?
It took way less than I expected, barely any time at all.
The solution has to be proprietary so as to avoid data scrappers the leakers are using. I have to use the time I was supposed to use writing, making images for you, and programming the game to build a freaking website with a blog base.
Thanks for holding it there; this has been a lot! I have to personally apologize to recent patreons and lost people on this, and good thing! the leakers won, I have to put in a proprietary site that I have to maintain. Three accounts were false negatives I don't know how I could ever repair with these supporters; Patreon does not give me login or activity tools to check, so I had to check who registered close to the leak. I am sorry.
