(UPDATE 02/02/2025) Modified the shadings to be more detailed
It's been a while since I did a LAMA pic, well, might as well do one in a revamped form for this one gift coming up!
That's right the second gift of the year (I'll get to the commissions don't worry, but there are one personal drawings that I have to take care of as well, so stay tuned) and the first one for someone's birthday, and that someone is one of the former patrons Vasird, and for him we have his puppy OC Rosalinda Briarwood, that's right, another furry drawing we have here, in her customized LAMA-styled gear, calming herself with a night view of the underwater world as she plunged in for a night dive! I'll be honest, I've been looking forward to draw her and this gear of her ever since Vasird showed it on his socials and on my Discord server, and just got his birthday as a right moment so here we go! I still look forward for the moment when he got to commission me to do her X3
Let's get to the process, as usual many parts of this pics were taken from one of my earlier drawings, but this time I do feel like making some changes and doing some parts differently. First being the base body, where I made her breast a bit defined and bigger and it's outline split just like on some of my recent female drawings, but this time in an improved way but mostly because there's her LAMA gear on the way. Speaking of the gear, decided to update my take on it as well, as apparently the ones that I've been doing isn't close to the one in real life, and this, while still not close to the real one, is clearly based on it specifically on the helmet base and top weight. One of the reason that I liked this character and this gear though is her communication cap and the front panel on her tummy, which, when I asked the owner, isn't really there for any reason other than aesthetics, so I assumed that it's for controlling her communication audio, which I think makes more sense given the communication cap.
Finally for the pose, the shading and lighting. For the shading I decided to do everything from scratch in per-object basis but with some welding involved, so by shading the furthest back object first, then trimming it with the silhouette of the object in front of it, turning that silhouette into shading and then merging it with the trimmed shading, all the way the frontmost object in the layer. For the gear shading itself I feel like bothering to edit the body shading before doing so, which allows me to give a better shading for areas next to the harness. Did the lights on her gear differently as well, with a lot of Gaussian blur and transparency mode for her helmet's light.
All of this steps on the way I draw her gear and entire pose is thanks to one of the artworks made by Anthrokidnapper on Deviantart and FurAffinity, particularly one that featured Rosalinda herself, which you can check right here.
Finally, the background, well it's a copy-paste from one of my drawings with a simpler underwater background, since I imagined her not dived in too deep yet, but, since it's a night dive I had to change some gradient colors and settings. Hopefully it looks like a nighttime underwater background for you ^^;
But overall, the entire pic was a blast to work and she looks so gorgeous right there X3
That's pretty much it, I hope Vasird and as always you guys liked it :D
