[Commission] Out for a Morning Walk
Added 2023-10-03 03:15:23 +0000 UTCWow, It's been a while since the last time I did a full pic that took place on Mars, well last couple full pics were kind of based on that but I mean the one intended to be set on Mars. Should as well give the Martian p-EMU some love at some point ^^;
Sadly, that one point is not this one. But hey, look what we got here! Another commission from the latest openings, It's my second take on Evgnm out of DA and Twitter/X, and the first one on it's variant for hedgehogs, and wearing it is Concorde, a character by SonicHacki who commissioned this pic and as of this writing, one of the recent Parfait patreons! (Although he joined a few months ago but still XD) And shown here Concorde had just got out of the airlock of his Martian base for a routine EVA, still pillow-faced from his last nap XD
Most of the process particularly the pose I already explained on the WIP post for it (which you can check right here, become one of the patrons if you haven't!) But, in short, due to the new base I use for Mobians/Sonic style characters, the suit were mostly done from scratch. Except since that post I decided to modify his left foot a bit, showing some finger-bending as he walked down the stairs, and of course, gave the pose a shading. Though I had to admit the pose looked kind of weird before it was shaded and while it looked fine before the backgrounds were added, the weirdness of the pose were pronounced once again after he's been put on top of the airlock's stairway ^^; But it's good enough.
Speaking of the background, yeah decided to go quick here, I didn't even account for the perspectives for each staircase and all the other parts of the airlock hatch exterior so I mostly just skewing each staircases' top side of the metal plates. The POV of the pic is pretty much zoomed into the character anyway. The rest is, well, a slight mod to the earlier lunar pics set on the moon but this time with the Mars' landscape color pallete, and the solar panel is the only one I bothered to put apply perspective effects on
But hey, quite a decent result we got here, and I hope Hacki and as always you guys liked it :D
