WIP: Astrogirl Neptune and Nepgear
Added 2023-04-06 03:26:39 +0000 UTCOkay, first pic progress of the month, and yeah I usually do the posting of my works on evening but the schedule is kind of crippled due to activities done in the evening during Ramadhan so only got to post this now ^^;
So, I checked my Patreon's patrons page a while back and noticed that you can actually "follow" the creator in question without pledging, and I thought, huh, you can do that? I thought you can only get updates from creators on Patreon after pledging them ^^;. I thought of finding out if I could disable it but then realized that it can be a sort of teaser of what you can get if you are pledging. So for those of you who are just following, if you have any spare dime, pledging would be very appreciated, otherwise, it's completely fine, it's just that you won't get to see what those who are subscribing are getting (can you? That can't be, right? That would be an embarrassing bug for Patreon to fix ^^;).
But in this sharing spirit of Ramadhan, I decided to post this WIP for all followers on my Patreon--Patrons or not, as a kind of promotion, giving you who haven't pledged to the Popsicle and Parfait tiers an idea of what you'll get if you're supporting me into those tiers. So, what we have here is another drawing with Idolmaster's Astrogirls suit after quite a long time, the previous one was a coloring you can check right here, although this time, just like the last coloring of it, is still not the characters from the Idolmaster franchise itself. It's Neptune from Hyperdimension Neptunia anime and game franchise, accompanied by, despite her body height, apparently her much calmer younger sister, Nepgear! This is my side of an art trade I’m doing with heavycube4u/sensuifuku_nepu on Pixiv and Twitter, the same person who commissioned me a pic of Neptune in the ISS/Shuttle EMU suit which you can check right here, and as for his side of tradem you can check right here.
Nothing much is really done other than the hairs and the faces that are done from scratch, except for the face where Nepgear's face is mirrored from Neptune's just with a change in her mouth. The suits though, despite being copied from my last self-made drawing of Astrogirls suit you can check right here (and will soon be uploaded as a part of my Classics), had undergone a pretty major overhaul due to both characters' body shapes. Initially, I was going for my standard female shape for Nepgear but found out that she isn't that voluptuous anyway so I ended up using Neptune's base body and made it taller a bit. and because of this, the suits are modified mainly on the upper torso part to show less breast bulge. Helmets are also modified too, giving the two siblings' D-Pad-styled hairclips more visibility :D
Other than that and the upcoming shadings, I think that's everything, after this pic is done I'll get to work back on commissions, either one from the queue or one thing that I'm considering doing lately, which is opening a YCH commission. Yup, I might as well give an update on my commission status here. Figured out that while closing the regular commission I might need some more extra cash, and to keep the main one from piling up, I thought of doing something that can be profitable while still delivering what you guys want in a shorter time. I'll post the details later after I figured out the whole technical details and am ready to be open for it.
