A Fresh Start
Added 2022-06-20 01:07:20 +0000 UTCFirst and foremost, I want to say thank you for supporting me. I never thought I would see the day when I would get monetary support for a hobby of mine.
With that being said, I may know what I'm doing in SFM (barely), but I've been using it on and off for 4 years now, with over 800 hours, and this is my first post on Patreon.
What I'm getting at is, there will be growing pains. This is uncharted territory for me.
I'm currently considering what type of content to make in regards to quantity and length. I usually look at what other creators are doing to get a general idea of what works and what doesn't. I also look at what they're making to make sure I can differentiate myself and offer something unique.
At the time of writing, I have had my Patreon page launched for a couple days now and have yet to post it anywhere. Mostly because I just don't feel ready. I don't want to let anyone down or make anyone feel scammed. I might be overthinking this a bit much or taking it too seriously but to me, when money is involved, I would much rather be safe than sorry.
Producing content on a schedule is new but shouldn't be too hard aside from my hiatuses. Managing a community along with their expectations seems daunting right now but if I don't at least try, I've already failed.
This is the start of a new journey for all of us and I am excited to see where we'll be in a couple years.
