Giganta's Gigantic stroll (WIP)

He goes straight for her thigh, thinking it's a weak point in her armour. But no, the armour's just for show, Giganta's just powerful. So she squishes supes and moves on.

Oh I 100% agree. I always love it when macro artists play around with a sense of scale. Like using depth of field or higher detail to emphazise how large something is. I feel within this type of art it's easy to fall into a habit of "make hot person but big", which I feel diminishes the creativity of what one can do with size. Really makes me appreciate small things like this to make it stand out more.

I figured if I made Supes fly in a curved line like that while getting smaller it would add some energy compared to a straight flight and basically be able to show two types of movement at once to emphasize how far he's going and how much distance is between him and his goal due to Giganta's immense size. I feel if I'm animating I've gotta do some good cinematography. Use some tricks like that to get some movement and scale.

2024-04-05 05:24:29 +0000 UTCThe way you showed him approach the thigh is essentially just a dot moving on a zooming image but for some reason it looks unreasonably good. Like I can't articulate it proper but the movement just looks really smooth and weirdly cinematic.
