Since it's more of an unpleasant announcement than a question or an invitation, Alexandra wonders how she can make the best of it.

And so, with these six pages, Chapter Two comes to a close! A chapter that—personally, at least—went in some unexpected directions. I really never, ever expected Katerina's friendship to play such an important role, and now I can't imagine the story without her.
I hope that this chapter has brought you nothing but enjoyment, I hope Alexandra's attempt at reconciliation with Katerina feels as sweet as it is intended, and I hope you're as excited for Chapter Three as I am.

This seems like a good time to ask: what are your feelings about Chapter Two? How did it read to you? Did anything bump you? Did you get hung up on anything? Was there a particular point that brought you joy?

MEANWHILE, I recorded my process of thumbnailing four pages for Chapter Three and, just now, have edited it together. Smoke is coming out of my camera (not really, but it feels like it could be close) and I've edited most of it together (a more time-consuming process than I was hoping—surprise surprise). I just need to review it and put some final touches on it.
Look forward to that next week. It's, umm, it's almost the length of a feature film.

2022-11-09 22:30:11 +0000 UTCAbsolutely loved the visuals you gave the "musical number" in the middle of this chapter, it carried the drama in a sweet way without losing the light pace you had going throughout the story. I did find the concept a bit jarring at first, especially when you posted the inks for it (I love dramatic showdowns and explosive dialogue, so how could a poem fit in?) But now when I go back to it, I can't stop thinking about the sequence where mother and daughter mend the bowl and run off to explore.
