After her parents shattered her childhood dreams and—to twist the knife (so to speak)—gave away her beloved practice swords, Alexandra roams Archipoli looking for her friend, whose reassurances will certainly right all the world's wrongs, Alexandra believes.

Finally! <Rubs hands together with glee> Another of the unusual sequences I'd been looking forward to sharing. I'm particularly pleased with the way the storybook sequence pops out into the "wait, what?" panel, spilling the water. That works well, I think.

Colouring is done!

(But of course I still have a lot to share—there are still four sequences left to post here, including the musical number.)
So, what needs to get done before I start Chapter Three? Let me tell you!
1) GRANT APPLICATIONS
Federal and Provincial art grant deadlines are coming up in October, so I would like to prepare my applications.
2) UPDATE THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS PAGE
Hey, if you haven't done so already, fill out this quick and easy form so you are named properly in the Chapter Two Acknowledgements Page. I'm going to do one final pass to make sure it's up to date.
If you just joined the Patreon, get in on this! Learn more about the acknowledgements page right here and here.
The acknowledgement pages go up wherever I post the comic so that the world knows who the kind people are that support this work.
3) WEB PREP
*Sigh* The easy part will be preparing pages for delilahdirk.com, the blog, and Tumblr. I do have to make some more HTML for the website, but once I remember how to use the template system I'm sure that'll be fine.
For miserable ol' Instagram, last time I put up banners saying "new comic." This time, I think I'm going to see what happens if I post the comic there, panel-by-panel in those swipey type of posts. This will mean some reformatting. And I'm not sure every sequence will lend itself to this nonsense. But it's an experiment.
And then there's Webtoon. This will also require extensive reformatting, and I probably wouldn't bother except for one factor I can't ignore: if you have to read a comic on a phone or tablet, the infinite scroll is so much better than page-by-page, I find. It'll take more time than I want to spend on it, but at least once I schedule the releases it's set-and-forget.
Hopefully that all goes by faster than anticipated and I can get to what I really want to do: Chapter Three!
In the meantime, let's all take a moment to enjoy these beautiful green bars:

I'm really excited for you to see the final few sequences in Chapter Two! They're coming up soon.
